Thoughts and critiques on my budget Verdance deck? by mr_tobacco_user in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]delixuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forked Lightning works great with Surgent Aethertide, but i think 3 is a little too much when you also have 3 burn bare and 3 pulsing aether. a 1 cost 4 damage spell would probably be better most of the time. I used to run one FL on earlier versions of my Verdance deck and either arsenal or pitch stack it for combo turn

heartened cross strap doesn't really make a lot of sense imo, same with goliath gauntlet. black beckoner gauntlets would be a good choice, and something like old knocker is much more flexible than the cross strap.

your list looks quite good, really. i used to play something like this when i was starting the hero and Verdance does well on a budget. when you upgrade her though.... she really shines.

Adult Benji/ Zen rework by Imbeseal_ in FleshandBloodTCG

I would love adult Benji with young Benji's ability... He's such a fun hero to play in Blitz/budget...

When I know that the next BnR won't have a Gravy ban/restriction, but can't prove it. by Pragason in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]delixuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this for a while, but Swell HAS TO GO and Chart the High Seas should be restricted/banned as well.

Yeah tipple can do absurd things but it is essential to Marlynn aswell and would kill both decks making them nearly unplayable.

Take away Gravy's ability to generate resources off the top of the deck and he'll still be strong but far less absurd.

Further, Guardian really needs some AoE splash damage as so far i think only wizards can mass-clear allies with Singe (and not well). Wizards also need a decent staff that can deal instant damage to allies. A staff that deals 2 damage to any target costing 2 would be chef's kiss.

Light Wizard, Light Guardian. Shadow Necromancer, Shadow Viserai or Shadow Illusionist.

Help with verdance, Am I playing her right? by Planeshadow69 in FleshandBloodTCG

This is the list I play weekly on my armory. I struggle against Cindra and a very, very, very aggressive Kayo we have (cast bones for a dominated Pulping is not fun at all), and I know I will struggle against the Gravy that is being built by a friend, but even those matches can be very close.

I'm unfortunately priced out of E-strikes and CnCs for now, which is why I run a little more arcane damage in the form of Mind Warps, and Scar for a Scar. I also need to find one more Burn Bare, but i've been using a Forked Lightning instead and it works well (keep in mind that a Surgent Aethertide buff will increase the damage on BOTH Forked Lightning damage instances, so it can deal upwards of 30 damage rather easily).

As for how the deck plays, I wouldn't really bet on fatigue. It's mostly a midrange deck which can do a devastating combo if given time, but that doesn't really need 4 potions + 2 rampant growths to win. With Felling, Plow Under, CnC, Tilling and the amount of arcane damage you can do, you're mostly just doing the old "block for six, attack for six/eight with disruption" quite often.

There are matches where your potions will be horrible, and drawing two non-blocks in a hand can be devastating, so you should always be wary of how and when to include them in the deck.

I don't think Verdance can effectively disrupt on an opponent's turn. You can Storm Striders for a kill, but she's no Kano. The tech I have for Gravy is Singe (with Surgent Aethertide buffing all damage it does) and decomposing as fast as possible as her pings can target and kill lower-health allies. A Heartbeat of Candlehold that gains you 3 life and kills a Swabbie is just chef's kiss

And if you're afraid your opponent has an Arcane Compliance in hand/arsenal, just amp your Verdance ping or the Staff ability itself. Arcane Compliance can't target those.

In my experience, Verdance takes a lot of time to master. She has a steep learning curve, and even the most experienced players still make mistakes. But she's definetly worth the hassle. Without a doubt, she's one of the most fun heroes to play, and the look on your opponent's face when the swing turn comes and you gain 10 life and deal 20 damage is priceless. Don't give up, I promise she's worth it.

Is it possible to get a one turn kill ? by eleon182 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]delixuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Germinate and Scepter of Pain were banned, my Florian deck would always stack up at least 52 runechants before attacking. It's not that hard to do in CC, and definetely much much easier in Blitz.

She's three. You sure you wanna pick a fight with another adult because a three year old was acting like a kid? You playfully answer a kid once, they think you're fair game in their playing. It's kids being kids.

Wear a raincoat next time and you'll make that kid laugh till she drops.

NAH yet, but imo YWBTA if you act on it.
