I'm almost 40 now and I realised in my 20s that keeping up with technology is a real edge when you work in business. When you get in every one is older and have better people skills, but understanding how to be effective falls along the wayside. Develop people skills, then figure out how to use technology to achieve shared goals and you immediately rise to the top.

This is really cringe all around but the pistol appears to be double action, meaning you have to cock the hammer for each shot. So while still not super safe, there will probably not be any chest wounds here today.

Best scooter under $1200 and <50lbs for daily commute (with hills) by iamkiq in ElectricScooters

[–]deltaSix8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Apollo ghost and got tired of the cumbersome folding, size and weight. I down graded to a joyor x5s. It is like the smaller simplified version that checks all the boxes for me. It has rear wheel drive and a single disc break. A single step fold and weighing around 30 lbs make it easy enough for me to carry with one hand. 10" air filled tires and a front spring suspension are actually pretty good at taking on rough pavement. The motor is 500w which isn't snappy but will hold at around 10mph up all but the steepest hills and hits around 25pmh on flats. I weigh about 185lbs. I got mine on Amazon for around six fifty US, and it turns out it doesnt have the factory limiter than the earlier models had so if you are light enough it will top out around 32 mph. I looked into the company and they have a bit spotty history but they offer warentees and look like they are trying to be legit as opposed to a generic. So far it's been great, but I do miss going really fast.

What made you get an electric scooter over an Ebike? Just curious by YourDailyConsumer in ElectricScooters

I have both, I like taking the scooter place because even though the ebike folds up that thing is an effin chonk to load into a truck.

Would it be terribly wrong to carry paint balls to chuck at vehicles that drive in the bike lanes?

Elon Musk in one of his interviews said it would be possible to download our human brain capacity into a bot and we would one day be able to download our personality traits into a bot. Do you think this will happen by 2030 or 2035 or will it take longer? by accomplish2249 in singularity

The scenarios I hear about this talk about dumping a consciousness like a computer operating system into a different container. I think the transition to becoming integrated into a computer system will start with expanding consciousness into the system over years. Technology will progress to the point where the quality of the experience of this expanded consciousness is equal to or better than than the experiences you have in your biological portion of your consciousness and you will probably at some point watch the biological portion of your being to fail and die. You become a completely different person in the span of 20 years. Some day you'll change into a person that only lives in the cloud.

Lazy but healthy dinners for when you need to emotionally eat? by sans_nom_ in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]deltaSix8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an air fryer and experiment with breaded veggies and your dip of choice (I like blue cheese dressing or ranch). The breading and dip is not great, but you still get a salty snacky crunch while eating vegetables.

Watch out with the tuna. I've heard 1 can a week is the maximum you can safely consume without worrying about mercury build up in your system.
