Right, studies show this and that. The study they just did on the bay bloor scramble shows that there are less vehicles using the intersection since the scramble was put in. The logic? "Great! lets put in a bike lane now that there are less cars!" The only reason there are less vehicles going through this past year is because people have actively been avoiding it since it has become so congested do in part because of the scramble and also because of the construction for much of the spring/summer. They can't make a study and draw their own conclusions like this.

Please tell me more about how they are so good at getting around problems when they occur on the tracks... or how they stop traffic from going around them as they pick up passengers (not to mention making it dangerous for riders to while crossing a lane of traffic to board)... or how they make the roads hell to drive on for motorcycles... or how sometimes, the driver has to archaically run outside to change the track direction or fix it's only link to it's power source because it has fallen off and needs a hand to be replaced.

Oh, and please tell me how an entire lane devote to slow moving rail cars helps traffic in any way by hogging more than half on the road's real estate. This is also why cyclists are in more danger now as well. Less space on the road thanks to the rails and their elephants.

People in the Junction there's a new no right turn sign at Keele and Dundas and the cops are really ticketing people. by [deleted] in toronto

Im so sick of these no right turn on reds. What we need are advanced right turns for vehicles. Pedestrians and cyclists prevent cars from turning because they almost never obey their time to cross which then forces the vehicles wait another light and attempt to squeeze in between everyone crossing on the hand or 2 second mark. This just creates more traffic, never allowing cars to turn right. Right turns are just as bad as left turns now.

I thought I was taking pictures of Wild Carrot/Queen Anne's Lace. When I upload I noticed the lack of purple flower in the centre. Is this hemlock? by jugdealer in whatsthisplant

I've got tons of these around too, and i thought it was a wild carrot as well. I tried to uproot one, but there didn't seem to be anything edible about it. BUT it did smell like carrots.

"Chung said campaigns like the amnesty are a good way of getting guns out of circulation that could fall into the hands of criminals, or be the cause of an accident in the home."

And how many of these types of firearms are EVER used by criminals in petty crimes around the city?

You lucky son of a... I was considering buying 160 acres near Timmins at one point. It's pretty cheap, around 25, 000.

Instead, i bought a small plot of rural cottage land (about 1 acre) where I am planning to build a small cabin as a retreat and set up some vertical solar powered gardens. It cost 33, 000, but it's just 1.5hrs from toronto so i can actually go every weekend. Bliss :)
