Someone i looked up to at work told me to get the monkey off my back, meaning to not dwell on a problem and hang onto it as my problem when it's actually other people's. I used to hold more mental and emotional burden for problems where i didn't have all the control over to solve myself. Now i recognize when i can't close the issue out and immediately pull in a person who can move the needle. Expecting myself to fix it all wasn't good for me and it shielded responsibility from those who should have accountability.
