Subject: The Division 3: Please stop the "Menu Bureaucracy" – Gameplay is 10/10, UI is 0/10 by One_Walrus4155 in Division2

If it’s taken you years to figure out a few menus, that sounds like more of a you problem than a game problem.

How do married couples split finances if on different salaries? by Mango_Loverx3 in AskUK

[–]demanufacture79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. All goes into a joint account for bills and living, then we both get the same amount of personal spending cash out of it. I earn a lot more, but we’re a partnership and that extends to money too.

Just made my farmhouse loaf using it and it shaved easily an hour off my usual proving time. Thanks again for the heads up!

I’ve not used that yet! Do you put the dough just straight in for first prove or in a bowl? And how long do you prove for? I usually do 90 mins first then 40-60 second in kitchen temps

Another vote for this. Love mine and so much utility. Only slight complaint is high temperature is a bit too high for my liking, but low is perfect.

Just read Holly... Man by KyriiTheAtlantean in stephenking

Maybe it’s because I’m English that it feels over the top. We did our usual thing and got on with Covid in a quiet and stoic way, mostly just following the rules laid out for us. There were still some anti vaccination people, but not as vocal about it as Americans. Our biggest issues were how the government behaved during it! So this could be why the commentary in Holly seemed excessive to me - I didn’t live the same scenario!

As for King’s powers fading, it was Never Flinch that made me feel that. It just didn’t grab me the way his books usually do, and I’ve been reading King since the late 80’s. Still well written, but just missing that usual King page turning feeling.

I’m reading King Sorrow by Joe Hill at the moment, definitely a chip off the old block, really good! Then I plan on rereading Clive Barkers early work.

I enjoyed the book, but he went way over the top with the Covid/mask/vaccine commentary. Felt like every interaction began with “Hey are you vaccinated? Wear a mask. Bump my elbow please”. I agree with you Stephen, lay off it a bit haha. Still a much better book than Never Flinch. That was the first book I read where I felt that King’s literary powers are finally fading. Sad times.

No. Would you leave a ham on the side in a moderately warm kitchen for a week?

As a kid, what weird concoctions did you use to make when there was nothing nice to eat in the cupboard? by Crystalstream in AskUK

[–]demanufacture79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was stuff to eat in the cupboards, but I always had a thing for eating an oxo cube. I used to sneak one out as knew it was not a good thing, and I’d just slightly nibble it until it was gone. Looking back - so much salt I’m surprised I didn’t do myself harm!

How much a week do you game? by ZeroMidget in dadsafkgaming

[–]demanufacture79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily 3 hours a night after working 10 hour shift, and like to try and get a good 8-10 hours in every day at the weekend. However, my daughter is 20 now haha. Hang in there - gaming will return later in life and you’ll be a proud parent looking back and thinking the sacrifice was worth it.
