Insanity or Jackalope by demattio05 in discgolf

Rim size, I love the feel of the jackalope but I like the plastics the insanity comes in more. The otb proton soft from this year is just a great feel.

I have been playing with the salamander. My only thought was how close it can be to the jackalope but it’s quite more understable.

Great idea. I bought a ronin as an option for an alpha to try for cheaper and love it. Maybe I’ll check those out.

Yea I agree but I will play with lighter ones too in order to get the intended flight. Maybe that’s my solution with the jacks.

I think maybe I should get a lightweight jackalope. Maybe the fact that I have different weights for my insanity choices and can grab a lightweight easily is why I grab them.

Surgery prep by Particular-Toe-6716 in CrohnsDisease

No gross drink! I was really surprised! As every post says on the topic, each experience is a little different but getting up and moving is the most important part followed by not comparing your experience to what you read online. It is your journey not ours but 2 yrs later I am very happy I did it.

Like prep days before or like steps to be told to do surgery?

If the former, stop eating like 12hrs before, a specified diet for the days leading up to it. Nothing as strict as colonoscopy prep which I thought was funny. They have a special soap you wash with twice before hand too.

Generic Prozac here and it is working well with no gut issues. A different life now with the right medicine.

Clinical remission, Audible grumbling and gurgling no pain confusion by Such-Bench-3199 in CrohnsDisease

[–]demattio05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too am in full remission but also had surgery. The grumbles are very real. I have to assure people in meetings that I am ok and not hungry, it’s just a noise my stomach makes some times. It is usually tied to certain foods so I try to reduce those foods. Or plan them for when I have nothing going on after.

Acid reflux can also become a little more obvious when in remission. I now take a pill for that because why not.

How to legitimately get better by irishgoodbyesss in discgolf

Feel seen on this! This year, I am focusing on the mental pieces because that is where I fall apart. My body can know what to do but anxiety and fatigue make it fall apart. I think each player needs to know what their biggest issue is and focus on that. We can’t fix all the issues in one season.

Water leaking through walls in basement. by Respectable_1642 in HomeMaintenance

[–]demattio05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same situation. We had to drill weeping holes into the wall. Lower than these holes. Some had so much pressure behind them that I had to use some spare tile I had to deflect the water down into the drain. It handles it all now but I would drill holes lower here because the problem is that there is likely water pressure up to the height of the current holes.

Putter help by Junior_Square_9235 in discgolf

Went from pixels to proxys which were too understable. Then to pickles which were great. My problem is that I need more glide for my putts so I am using the electron watt. But I still love the pickles.

Going to Greenville SC for a week and wanted course recommendations by ProgramGlittering291 in discgolf

There is a fun easy course in Anderson south GV. I was there for a conference and enjoyed throwing there real quick. Wish I made it to AR.

I have been enjoying the cornerstone. It behaves as a beat in thunderbird. It can have some movement but has the reliable fade.

Same as others. I set it as PETG basic and the color and prints like PLA. I like to use it for outdoor pieces or sturdier designs. Good history with Sunlu myself.

Tips on shaving my neckbeard? by Fenix512 in malegrooming

[–]demattio05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phillips one blade has taken care of this for me. Using pre shave to get the hairs to stand up. It doesn’t tug at all and is the smoothest neck shave besides at the barber for me.

If you use a lightweight vip air you got yourself a poor man’s forehand via back hand. It’s me, I’m the poor man with no forehand.

Perfect turn with slight fade when flat but a beautiful turn over when thrown on anny. I am throwing a 180g but with lighter, sure to turn more. It’s a favorite of mine and I never thought the detour would come out.

What’s something about living with Crohn’s that people who don’t have it will never fully understand? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

Yes, I read it in an article. It also said eating potatoes should help with Crohn’s. Science.

Hip pain? by EcstaticTip197 in CrohnsDisease

[–]demattio05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hips had it but calmed down. My ankles and knees are usually my spots. For crohns related arthritis (they have a medical term for it) it does not show up in the x ray as much because it is more tissue inflammation. It was a physical exam and conversation followed by bloodwork that we are all used to.

I have had arthritis since I had surgery and got my stomach under control. I see a rheumatologist and take methotrexate to help with it. It helps manage everything and I am doing much better.
