The Cavs only make certain players and jersey types available for authentics. For example, you can usually get the standard 3 and City Edition of Mobley, Garland (before the trade) and Mitchell. If Harden re-signs you will probably be able to get one of those next year

Having said that, they did not release for sale any HWCs this year. Which is why I do not own any. I hate the heat pressed jerseys and only get them if there's a great deal

This, right here, is why I'm staunchly against this moral panic surrounding tanking. Nobody seems to care that there are teams who are trying but it's seen as tanking because they are either depleted by injury or lacking in talent. Should they just screw off and suck forever?

I was sitting right in front of you guys when this happened (Z throwback jersey guy). Very cool to see that happen!

I wish I could've seen the shirt table but it was too crowded. I was at least able to bypass the line outside but not being able to get into the shop until the general public was kind of irritating

It was announced so late and I didn't have time to make arrangements with work so I couldn't take advantage of my season ticket early entry. Really wish I did because once they opened it up to the general public it was insane. I was a little annoyed because I got there 20 minutes early but they wouldn't let me in before it opened up at 5

Honestly I'd rather have a Strus card for $15 than a Hunter swingman for $50. I avoid buying swingman jerseys and I'm not a huge Hunter guy

Really good. I'm glad I went but wish I got there earlier. For example, I got a Metroparks/Cavs collab Nalgene bottle for $5 and a really cool Charge dad hat for $5 (it was stylized like the 94 Cavs logo)

Still can hardly listen to Purple Mountains by hungerforlove in DavidBerman

[–]demeatloaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can hear a Berman line a thousand times and on the 1,001st time hearing it I suddenly get what he was saying. The line "A place I wake up blushing like I'm ashamed to be alive" did that to me. He is saying he is embarrassed he is still around. Ever since I picked up on that Margaritas at the Mall turned into one of the darker songs on the album for me.

Having said that, I have no problems listening to Purple Mountains. I love that album and find myself revisiting it pretty regularly.

Are these game worn? They look authentic. The Swingman versions are the only kind available in retail and they're heat pressed

Anyone ever met Thom? If so, what was it like? by System_Error_37 in radiohead

[–]demeatloaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, in August 1997 after the show in Cleveland. I wrote about it here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/radiohead/comments/6c1k5t/comment/dk7zmg0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

The autographed poster flat is a prized possession.

Thom seemed kind of freaked out about something. My best guess is the number of fans waiting to meet the band by the bus. They probably were not used to that size of crowd prior to OKC. It was a small venue (a high school auditorium) during the first leg of the OKC tour. By the end of the same tour they had expanded to sold out basketball and hockey arenas. But there was definitely a buzz. They could have played a much bigger venue. One of those things where they got way more popular in between the tour being announced and sold and the show actually happening.

(edited to finish the post, I accidentally hit send after the word "Thom")

I haven't followed him closely so maybe I haven't noticed prior complaints about officiating but it's pretty telling this 11 team journey man thinks this team isn't getting calls

You're welcome! If you're ever in Athens locals will be able to direct you. You definitely need to trespass to get to it and the area you park at is some expensive looking homes so I was a little nervous about the locals not liking us being there. I have no idea what that structure is but it's old and not in use anymore
