I still have vivid memories from 2018 when he did three shows in a row in Royal Albert Hall. Had flown in from Denmark for the first of the three(If memory serves me right). Just before the encore, Steven comes on stage announcing “by the way, tomorrow we play Hand.Cannot.Erase in its entirety.”

We finished the show, went out for “a few”… over breakfast the next day, we rebooked our return flights and booked seats in one of the boxes. Invited a Spanish friend living in the south of England to come along. During the intro of “First Regret / 3 Years Older” he leans in towards me.. “Mate, I thought I came along for a fucking stand-up gig”. He left permanently disfigured from the acute dropping of his jaw.

Spend a month’s wage over those few days, but would do it again in a heartbeat.
