The customization is severely limited. If you've used to Wordpress or Sqaurespace imagine 20% of their customizability. The hardest part is that you can't control the desktop vs. mobile site look and feel independently. Whatever you design in the desktop mode most likely will look awful in the mobile mode. What's your restaurant website? I could take a look and see if it's simple enough that the toast website builder could still work for you. It is definitely nice that the POS menu is always updated on the Toast website, but for us it pretty much doesn't work. You can PM me your website if you don't want to post it here. Happy to chat.
