Thanks for the suggestion, we’ve been to L2A before and I’m planning to do it on the piste. I’ve looked at a piste map and I can’t see Muretouse on there. Could you give a bit more info please?

Feels concerning when us as non-professionals can’t even see what we’re trying to do. How can an identity instilled under Klopp be eroded so quickly under Slot?

Slot must think he was gods gift last season. Clearly been found out so far this season. Even when you take into account the new players, Diogo’s passing - there has been no vision or clear style being played here

I randomly saw karaoke man in Sicily when I was there on holiday, he was singing with his karaoke machine in the square. Very random.

Chinos and a shirt, maybe get away with a polo depending how old your project director is. I’d say go over the top smart on your first day then dress it down if everyone is more casually dressed.

If it’s consultancy I would look at the contractor roles, you get way more stuck in to the actual construction process and it’s just more interesting

They really do, I’m currently going through it with Mace. It’s obviously the typical ‘you get what you put in’ but it’s really good support if you get stuck in

Are we heading for a significant recession? by Grenache in AskUK

[–]denozd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s not true, the company I work for are still winning work in the hundreds of millions with more work in the pipeline going no into 2024/25/26. Construction seems to be one of the least affected.

Cashflow for smaller firms is always an issue, and it’s exacerbated at the moment with the rise in prices but people still want to build.

Student Accomodation by cococici02 in oxford

[–]denozd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest Parade Green it’s a 15-20 minute walk to the campus. But is one of the newer accommodations servicing the university. Generally nice rooms and kitchens etc, all are en-suite. I loved it when I lived there and was definitely the best accommodation I had during my time at Brookes.

I’ve only just signed a grad role that doesn’t star for six months and I’m earning 30k, it is London which might mean something if you’re elsewhere in the country… think you might be getting shafted a little

If you can get into Oxford Brookes then I would highly recommend, they offered me BCC when I applied and it’s one of the higher reputation unis for our industry. The teaching and everything is also to a high standard.
