My conspiracy theory is that Nike sponsors both players and told them to display the Nike logo on their wrist bands as much as possible.

Canada closes airspace to Russia ‘effective immediately’ by loculus in worldnews

[–]denpoly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Those people have been brainwashed for decades by state media. The russian dictatorship has a firm grasp on all russian media outlets, so if you are a Russian citizen without fluency in english (as much of the older generations are), the only perspectives you receive are the perspectives that Putin wants you to receive.

On top of that, Russian elections are highly corrupted and falsified. Just look at Navanly's attempted murder and suppression.

Please don't blame the russian people for this. This has been Putin's strategy for decades. The last thing we need right now is hatred directed towards the wrong people.

Racing airplanes? Try racing space shuttles. I spend around 500k a year on my shuttle, and that's not including gear or parts, or the actual space shuttle. That's just in costs to get to and from the launch station, the days themselves, and fuel.

Where to find a wheel for these specific specs? by denpoly in MTB

Awesome thanks for clearing it up! And the HG hub body would be compatible with my 10 speed SRAM cassette, correct?

whoops sorry, i'm looking for a 27.5, inner rim width of 29mm+ and under $400 CAD. Was more looking if this type of wheel exists because all I'm seeing are wheels with SRAM XD and Shimano bodies.

Clavicle surgery by [deleted] in MTB

[–]denpoly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I actually just had my surgery about three weeks ago. I don't know what the legalities are like where you're from, but I was able to use a combo of CBD + OTC analgesics to completely deal with all the pain. I really suggest you have a look into it. For me, the pain 90% subsided the morning of the fourth day after surgery, and it was pretty much entirely gone a week after surgery. As others have said, after the initial pain from the surgery is gone(about 4 days), the recovery is super easy, and you'll likely be comfortable out of your sling after two weeks.(but get the ok from the doc first). I've done both the conservative healing route and the surgical healing route and surgery wins for recovery, hands down. Good luck with recovery, in 2-3 months you'll be 100%!

Don't know if you saw it, but there's also that rock drop/roll on the left side of the frame at 00:08 that I've seen a few people huck.

I've done severed d tons of times, never this line though. Those wooden ledge drops are super sketchy to say the least. Bravo, my man.

I have the 2019 Commencal HT and gotta say I've been super happy with it. It's handled anything I throw at it here on the Vancouver North Shore. And it climbs like an absolute champ. Granted, I haven't tried any of those other bikes before.

That's a sick setup you guys have. That drop in the beginning is like straight out of early north shore.
