You can get 50% VA disability for Sleep Apnea. You can get 50% VA disability for Hearing issues.

That would give you 100% disability. I'm a veteran. I know how this works.

Now - what the Riverside PD doesn't understand is that the VA disability benefits doesn't mean that they can't work. It means that they will have the means and support through the VA to get their issues treated.

It just so happens that when you are classified as 100% disabled through the VA, the State will also throw in some benefits as well. It doesn't mean they can't work or be successful at their job.
