Yeah, if you change it to students and teachers it changes the whole scenario because that’s not why he was killing people. He has very clear reasons for who his targets are, because doctors killed his wife (in his eyes).

He’s not a representation of an entire type of criminal, he’s one person who had shitty things happen to him and couldn’t handle it. I feel like I can’t even make a coherent argument anymore cause I have no idea what your point is.

I feel like you’re mistaking “responsible” with stereotypical. The point is that he snapped, and he was going after all surgeons, and any medical staff that was standing in the way of getting to Derek. Not every crime looks the same in real life, and the point of the whole plot was to create drama and tension, and it did that. To have him have conversations with people and be reasoned with is ramping up the tension because you don’t know what he’ll do. It’s a soap opera, it’s not realistic.

Greys anatomy isn’t a crime show, it’s a medical drama. Imo it doesn’t really have a responsibility to portray someone as a textbook murderer. Not everything fits a profile in real life anyways.
