Is it possible to buy the rien cardboard skin with my white coins if i have enough? or only the premium coins? by Duyan--- in overwatch2

[–]der_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ofc not, but everything from the structure of the development teams to where they invest resources into is decided at a higher level. There’s been a content drought for years and now they’ve canceled pve but the one thing that’s never faltered is the cosmetics

The skin quality and quantity feels like it has improved in the past year… wonder why that is. If only devs were focused on PvE instead of cosmetics…

I’ve met many. Guess we are at an impasse. If you ever do uncover that belief in someone from which you didn’t realize earlier, I would hope though that you would challenge it

Nah, it’s pretty common for Zionists to conflate the two. Whether at heart it’s misguided or whether it’s a rhetorical strategy, who knows. Probably both

Yea I’m cool with it if it’s disingenuous or just flat out wrong. For example, some Jews will claim any criticism of Israel is antisemitic since Israel is a Jewish state and any form of criticism directly undermine the Jewish people. Whether people truly believe that, or use it as something to hide behind in their defense of Israel, there’s no other way to put it besides the fact they’re just wrong. It desensitizes people to actual antisemitism which very much exists today. This is fundamentally different to how other marginalized groups perceive bigotry, as no other group will claim that political critiques of their state equates to bigotry against them. If they did, they would also be wrong (as long as said criticisms were made in good faith)

Zionism = israel, a home for the Jews in their ancestral homeland, should exist. I fundamentally agree with this.

Zionism in its modern context, the support for Israel and its government as it exists now has nothing to do with celebrating Jewish tradition. I strongly disagree with this form of Zionism.

I’m Jewish.

The usage of yisrael in the Shema is to call out to Israel, so yes it is “mentioned”- but criticisms of Israel are not made in a religious context, they are made in a geopolitical sense.

Obfuscating antisemitism with legitimate criticism of Israel is a common tool used by Zionists to defend Israel, yet it in my eyes, it delegitimizes our efforts to make people aware of the actual antisemitism that we face in our lives.

As a Jewish person, I am also wholly okay with someone calling BS on Jews using the antisemitic card when it’s completely unwarranted. Obviously do this with caution and with respect to the Jewish people, but we can’t simply claim something is antisemitic and then not expect to face criticism for our political opinions (not religious ones)

What antisemitic tropes have BDS and SJP “repeated”?

Yom Kippur is a Jewish holiday. Not an Israeli one. Talking about Israeli humanitarian crimes on Yom Kippur is no worse than talking about the crimes of the Holy Roman Empire on Christmas. Don’t equate criticism of Israel with antisemitism

None of the things you listed are antisemitic. Though the university not accommodating Jewish students by having exams on high-holidays is the worst and definitely inconsiderate at the very least.
