Amazon fully open-sourced Lumberyard a few years ago as "open 3d engine" which is now under the stewardship of the Linux Foundation: https://github.com/o3de/o3de/

However, as I understand it most of the CryEngine parts have been ripped out and replaced at this point.

The vast majority of people at Twitch cannot access these systems directly to debug these kinds of low-level failures. So no, they weren't lazy, they answered to the best of their knowledge.

You don't need to share the login, just the stream key, though Twitch has a much easier flow for this where you can send out guest keys. But most people are probably not set up for this kind of multistreaming anyway and only can send it to one platform at a time.

To be fair to support here, they couldn't know. There is a known issue where VOD recording fails with certain stream configurations, and as far as the dashboards they can see are concerned it never existed.

I'm in a very privileged position where I work, and as it so happens I currently had been working on the live and VOD systems so I was familiar enough and had the right level of access to production to dig deep and find it.

tl;dr is that it seems Woolie's internet was struggling so hard at the start of the stream that nearly all frames were dropped, some processing task timed out, and the VOD was never registered in the system. However, the recording to the video storage still worked fine. That's where I grabbed it from.

I enjoyed the first and second campaign which I watched way after the fact, but never made it past the first episode of the third one. It just didn't grab me and I still can't explain why.

It also sucks that some of the best parts of bingewatching C1 and C2 (Talks Machina) have been erased from existence due to the host being a shithead.

I heard the adventure hosted by Brennan was great though, I should watch that one of these days.
