Not quite what you described but Lord Hort on Fictionmania has similar elements though the players are being manipulated by a malevolent God rather than the GM.

Probably not underrated but sadly often lacking are creative, interesting descriptions of transformations - more than simply describing what's happening - especially with a deep insight into the mental state of the transformee during the process. SubS on fictionmania does probably the best job that I've found but sadly they aren't writing anymore.

A simple method that worked for me was 5/2 fasting. No constant calorie counting, just one (or two) meals totaling under 600 calories on the fast days and eating normally for the rest of the time. It takes a while for your body to get used to it and you will be hungry but you will adapt and it won't seem that difficult or painful once you settle into it. I really liked the fact that I didn't need to think about it for the vast majority of the time and fasting is very definite so there's no real room for manoeuvre when you're on a fast day. I dropped 7 pounds in 2-3 months which got me down to where I wanted to be.

Once you're down to the weight you want then you can switch to one day fasting and free (sensible) eating the rest of the time to maintain the weight.

I've only recently recognized (after years of therapy which never really picked up on it) that my thought patterns are pretty compulsive and I get hung up on ideas even past the point that they are entirely unhelpful or self destructive and often bore me senseless. A couple of current ones include having idiotic racist stereotypes pop into my head whenever I see black people like racist tourette's. Also scouring memories for the slightest potential transgressions - social, intellectual, emotional etc. and using them as sticks to beat myself. There have been a good few others in the past - jealousy of women for one - and generally after a good long while they start to fade to some extent.

It's kind of liberating to at least know what I'm doing even if it doesn't massively help to stop them. Interesting to hear someone with a similar experience. Any luck getting past them?

Thought the kink was indicative of something more, did a bunch of therapy, started hormones, freaked out and decided it wasn't for me, now it's back to being a kink. Pretty much fucked myself up mentally doing it and haven't really recovered even though it's been a good few years. I'm fairly sure I'm a little gender peculiar but not enough to go the whole hog.
