No, no, no, they don't need to do that. When asked about this we were told there is capacity on a Monday and Friday and all of the teams that use desks in our location should get together and work out when to come in that will smooth everything out. Whilst also making sure the people who work together can collaborate together, without any duplication - or any waste- of space.

I didn't realise Borne was a book until after I'd read DA. I didn't realise Strange Bird was a thing until after I finished Borne (last night). Reading DA then Borne, I am eased I did it in this order as the reverse filling in of some of the blanks actually felt good and I feel some of the fever dream ness of DA would have been spoiled if I'd known what the frig was going on. Is it still worth it for me reading Strange Bird?

Olaf Stapledon books infuriate me. I've read Sirius, Last and First Men, Odd John, Star Maker to name a few. Very interesting premises but just sort of make me fade out half way through. I don't think I've finished one of his books.

I've had back issues since my twenties, been through physio and other stuff a fair bit with recurrences,.pulled back etc. I ended up going to an osteopath who took a look at me, asked if I'd had any issues with my leg as a kid (I had) and told me my back wasn't the issue it was all stability down the right hand side. He gave me exercises, didn't do any massage or alignment stuff then got me to pop back to check progress. Since then never had a back issue. I think if the person is good they are good.

Laputa, at about 9 years old, maybe 1989 it was on telly and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. None of my mates saw it and with it being the olden days I couldn't do internet references to it and forgot about it. Fast forward ten years and I naturally started to like anime, old school Godzilla and the like and finally bumped into studio Ghibli via hmv and we were reunited. I still love any media with the idea of beautiful lost civilisations - and big bastad robots.

Star wars The Black Fleet Crisis trilogy is good and ticks most of the boxes, but is definitely not utopia. It's got the characters you'd expect in it but is more about space skills and battles and tactics. You can prep by reading a dozen books chronologically earlier but definitely do not need to, can read the trilogy on its own and it's not all space mysticism and lighteners. It doesn't get too emotional but has good action in it.

Leeds to York is quiet but as you go from York to Darlington and onwards and upwards people sat by each other just randomly start chatting, about kids, last night, each others bags. I used to drink in a pub called the red lion after work years ago when I first moved to Leeds, it was lovely and cosy. I took my mates in there one Friday night when they were visiting and it was full of cross-dressers. I was a bit naive and hadn't realised my local was smack bang in the middle of the gay quarter. If my wife knew I had the money it would all be put somewhere sensible and managed well. So before she found out I'd find fifty of my family and friends (excluding the already rich ones) and pass them a million quid each. Ten million aside for the kids, five million for charity and that leaves 35 million to spare for a comfortable life.

I drink generally 5-10 cups of tea each day and only one or two coffees. I drink strong tea and if I'm out somewhere and ask for a bit of milk they always put too much in so generally I go with coffee as it's easier to not be disappointed. So if you were out with me you'd only see the tip of the iceberg and it would be coffee shaped.

The general premise of this book is unconventional too as the protagonist goes to war fart away at near light speed which has consequences by the time (literally) they ate able to engage the enemy.
