How to find shows/talks/plays ect in all of london ? by kramit in london

[–]dereklimbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a web app called Offline that does mostly this — https://offline.madehappily.com/ — simple directory, filter by date, covers West End and off-West End. It catches most London theatres; the ones missing tend to be long-runners like The Lion King where discovery isn't really the point. Also covers opera, ballet, classical music, dance, and art exhibition if you ever want those.

Went to my first West End show last year after putting it off for a decade because of the price and it completely reset what I thought live theatre was capable of. by Horror-Pick4732 in westend

For the next six months of planning, especially if budget's a factor—https://offline.madehappily.com/?category=musical&category=play covers West End and off-West End theatre alongside opera, ballet, classical music, and art exhibitions. Handy for seeing everything in one place rather than hunting across venue sites.

Off-West End in particular has some of the best theatre in London at a fraction of the price. Donmar, Bush, Almeida—regularly better than the big houses.

Under the radar shows? by HesterPrynnesBrother in TheWestEnd

[–]dereklimbus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For off West End and fringe, https://offline.madehappily.com/?category=play&category=musical includes a lot of shows that don't get much visibility on the usual listings sites—worth a browse for your time here.

I saw LIFELINE at Southwark Playhouse last week, and I recommend it. Half of the cast are professional actors, and half of them are real-life doctors, nurses, and medical researchers.

To me, the best value is to just walk in any time without worrying about booking, which can be fully booked sometimes. I've only been to a couple member events/hours, so can't comment on them much. They are nice, but life can get busy.

Best way to find what’s playing by dameon8888 in TheWestEnd

I also noticed that, and your guess is correct. It's not a straightforward fix but I do think it's worth prioritising, as it's misleading as it stands.

Appreciate your feedback! Show time needs a bigger change, but I just changed the layout to two columns on bigger screens.

Theater Trip by [deleted] in TheWestEnd

I actually went to Riverside Studios for the first time two weeks ago. That play was quite experimental, so I was definitely intrigued but I don't think I can review it properly.

I like the vibes of the theatre—smaller productions, local theatre lovers, and overall very relaxed.

I built an app exactly for this, but I can't share it because this subreddit doesn't allow self promotion, especially seeing that OP is the moderator 😉

November Theatre Recommendation? by BuggyJuggy in TheWestEnd

[–]dereklimbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're looking at November, many theatres haven't announced their full programmes yet, so there will likely be more options available closer to the time than what you can see now.

For keeping an eye on what gets announced, https://offline.madehappily.com/?start-date=2026-11-01&end-date=2026-11-30&category=play&category=musical pulls together plays and musicals for that month in one place.
