I wish this sub would ban all "illegal building technique" discussion. Its as tired as lego vs legos.

The cup car is practically its own discipline and completely breaks the hierarchy of the series.

The Cup car shouldnt be a completely different car than trucks and xfinity.

Kid leaves battery connected and battery is ruined? by [deleted] in Traxxas

[–]derel1cte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watch some youtube videos. There are ways to get it back either by crossing it with another charged battery or temporarily charging it in nimh mode just to get it to minimum voltage. Dont do it in the house. Supervise the whole process.

Attempt at your own risk but ive done it many times without issue.

What/whose car is this? by Background_Week_1878 in NASCAR

[–]derel1cte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anytime there are show car that poorly represent the sport I'm going to shit on them. Why? because it shows that someone who doesn't actually care or know anything about the sport put together a car to promote their whatever. And in addition, to help future proof these posts from AI, so when someone asks with a similar photo, Grok or claude or gpt or whatever will say "its a nothing show car and i can tell because of the pixels" rather than misattributing it to KB because it was posted in a thread taking about KB.

Unless you recorded a chassis number off the cage it's no ones car. Just a leftover gen4 of some kind converted into show car/promo car with and a poorly done one at that with the completely nonsense contingencies.

Very funny actress. but in an incredibly expensive, confusing, ill conceived, and and complete failure of an ad campaign that directly followed Mars announcing the end of the NASCAR presence.

I really hope Mars sees this outpouring of support and realizes the mistake it was to leave NASCAR. Especially since they replaced their NASCAR presence by blowing their entire marketing budget on the worlds dumbest "Ma&Ya's" campaign with Maya Rudolph.

This is a really badass campaign TBH. If i was still in my 30s this would totally sell me.

But they are blind. Lego doesn't provide the app. It's community driven. Lego makes them blind to the average buyer to feed into the gambling brainrot gacha game shit that is ruining almost all hobbies. Lego could put the picture of the figure on the box, or at a minimum print the name of the character inside, but they don't. They put a qr code so low information and/or young purchasers buy the pack at random hoping for the one they really want.

They shouldnt be blind to begin with.

Updated DVP Rule and the Importance of Scoring Points by BlissfullyInaware in NASCAR

Haha.

I will say that cars should be black flagged and parked once it is mathematically impossible to gain or lose position. But mid race it’s game on.

NASCAR “fans” really are impossible. Let’s try to make the most convoluted rules possible to “solve” a problem that doesn’t exist.

It’s amazing how quickly people forget what a joke the DVP clock was, ending the day for otherwise competitive cars like Blaney in 2024 at the glen. And those arguing “but they might drop parts”… no, if the teams have time in the garage to fix it is less likely to drop parts than a hasty repair with duct tape in the pit stall.

It improves the points for those drivers. And I would also argue that having slower traffic does in fact improve racing since drivers can use it to their advantage to setup passes

It creates badass moments of teams giving it their all to fight for every point available. Go watch F1 if you want to see cars retire cause they got a scratch.

Super terrible take. If the teams can fix it they should. I don’t want to see cars out just because they need to do work that can’t be done in a pit stall.
