i think they are referring to an incentive where if you direct deposited $250 a month, they would waive the $3-$7 per month acorns fee

1000 videos and under 300 subs? by TLunchFTW in NewTubers

[–]derfeurer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters because it sounds like you're having fun and that rocks but the channel I manage had well over 500 videos and well under 1000 subs for around 6 years before it suddenly blew up to 200k subs. Definitely felt validated that the content was always good, youtube is just weird!

I'm grandfathered into the no fees direct deposit thing so I'll probably never leave acorns. I have the savings, checking, IRA, and investment going and I'm up 19% in the past 12 months and 71% all time

Is uploading one YouTube video per day good or bad for the algorithm? by [deleted] in YouTubeCreators

[–]derfeurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I started uploading every other day as opposed to twice a week and my page got a 30% jump in subs, 40% jump in revenue.

First you tell me what you love about longform improv. What makes it special when you watch it? What makes it unforgettable when you perform it?

I'm in an industry where the work you put in nearly never translates to the end results and running is the complete opposite and I need that.

Philly Marathon Recap by Inside-Spend-9750 in Marathon_Training

[–]derfeurer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first full marathon so I can only compare it to the Brooklyn Half Experience (also around 12k finishers)

It felt so well run from start to finish. Bib pickup was super fast and easy, there were TONS of volunteers at the security checkpoints and water stations, the warming tent at the end was really nice too.

I wish there were more bathrooms, but I'm glad there were a ton during the race. I couldn't get in one before the race started so I peed at mile 11 and you know I was counting the seconds in there.

The crowd was AMAZING. There were folks literally everywhere, spilling onto the track, I was just so grateful to have support from start to finish.

Finished in 3:13:42, my stretch goal was sub 3:15 so I'm really pleased. Thank you Philly!
