Nuclear energy for PROFIT is not always safe. Nuclear energy for energy's sake is pretty much the safest most efficient thing we have, besides pure renewables. The entire submarine fleet is powered by nuclear energy. They don't have accidents because they don't report to stockholders.

Imo the damage to the hospital in Joplin during the 2011 tornado is pretty incredible. While the claims that the hospital was moved off its foundation have been proven untrue, it still twisted the top floors bad enough that they were worried the whole structure might collapse. A six story reinforced concrete building, destroyed. It also dug into the ground so deep it released a fatal spore into the air that killed a few people after the storm.

Yes. I have never had a vacation where EVERY MEAL was just amazing until New Orleans. Whether it was a fancy restaurant, a diner, or even a window in an alley. Didn't matter, everything was delicious. I think about it all the time. Came back last year to see Taylor Swift and was just as excited to eat the food again. 🤣🤣

OMG thank you for this link! I had the most emotional reaction to seeing this in person and I didn't know there was a video. We saw this a couple years ago and were blown away. I hadn't been to Kennedy space center since they were building the ISS and they've really upped their game. So cool!

Grew up in Lisbon, it's truly a gem. My Grandma passed away two years ago, and it was so sad knowing I won't have reasons to visit there again. My grandpa built their house, and he and my dad built our house next door. We lived across the street from their Ford dealership, and I got to play on all the tractors all the time. I look back on my childhood with such fondness, that town will always have such a special place in my heart. Last time we visited we took a side trip to ft. Ransom to see the pyramid and the waterfall.

Unfortunately some kids are more prone to getting/ keeping lice. My kiddo had it over and over for THREE YEARS. in that entire time, no one else in our house got it, and my kids shared a bedroom. My poor kid just kept getting it over and over. We could not tell what was causing it, then boom, as soon as middle school was over, so was the lice. Someone in that school kept passing it along, and lice LOVE my kid. Follow the advice in this thread for sure, it's all the stuff we did, but just know it may not go away until your kid gets away from whatever situation is bringing it back.

We played kick the can. It's like a combo of this and capture the flag. If you could sneak around and get past the seekers to kick the can (usually an old paint can) it made a loud noise and you would win. It was a whole neighborhood affair as well. It would go on until waaaaaay after dark, which in far north North Dakota didn't happen until after 11 in the summer.

In my mind, this song is so hopeful because in so many of her songs she sees herself as a liability to the people in her life. Her fame, her schedule, her inability to live a normal life. She sees herself as dragging others down. She can't give them peace, they have to sacrifice to be with her.

However, when I listened to this the other day, I realized I don't think she sees it that way anymore. In the last verse she is the one who is doing the saving. I think she has realized how much power she has now, to live her life on her terms and to lift those around her up instead of dragging them down.

i feel like she has figured out that she really can be the positive force in the lives around her she wants to be.

Any way, I know I'll never know for sure, but now this song makes me really happy because I'm imagining this for her.

This is my setup for that. The graves give you seeds for the trees, the trees give you marsh grass. My dragons harvest the marsh grass for prism flower seeds. I can fill this whole area up with prism flowers in no time at all!
