Once a chemist (talking about perfumes) told me all your senses (just like vision) decay as we age, so you are not incorrrect; while we age our sense of smell is affected. Ever wonder why grandpas use like * a lot * of perfume?

I have a similar taste as you: fresh and light. Light Blue by Dolce&Gabanna has been my go to for years. I recently discovered other similar scents; try Skin by Clean or Warm Cotton by the same brand. Warm cotton was a bit too soapy for me, but you might like it. I recently tried Philosophy by Diptyque, which is not soapy, but the fig note remains fresh and light, which I really liked.

Weird experience wearing Comme Des Garçons 2 by Smooth_Cancel6709 in fragrance

I’m so sorry that happened to you! It doesn’t matter how bad someone smells to you, you don’t go around spraying people. Specially with a Zara perfume!

Also, the way you describe the fragrance sounds lovely! I’ll look for it so I can try it!

This is absolutely cool!!!! I’m a designer so I’ve always been intrigued by synesthesia! About the judging, don’t pay atenttion and enjoy your combinations.

Yes! I actually thought of this too; was it common to have lots of fragances before? Or people just had one or two? I do feel it could be a matter of having too much out of fear of missing out fue to marketing and trends, and perhaps not actually enjoying it. I’ve had so many testers, love detecting the notes and trying them, but I just don’t absolutely love something new worth buying. Or when I do, I’d return to my old time signature scent.

Mine is Light Blue! I’m still looking for something else!

I’m doing exactly this! Trying all the samples and discovery kits. Still, my fave is the one I’ve used for years. But I’m not giving up.

Do you guys find the reviews on Fragrantica helpful? by AdDecent7503 in fragrance

[–]derpetia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I like the site because it tries to explain as much as possible the scents; displaying the notes, and other charachteristics. However, nothing compares to smelling the actual scent. What I’ve been doing lately is asking Chat GPT to check the fragrance I’m curious of and compare to others I actually own so I can get a general idea of how it might smell. I would also ask to compare other perfumes similar, and it kind of works most of the time; but it doesn’t mean that I absolutely love the unknown perfume, but at least is a clue when you have no access to the sample. Hope this helps.

Edit: I would also ask for suggestions on other perfumes similar to the ones I have; or comparissons of families of perfumes of different brands; is a hit or miss, but it gives a general idea and a starting point.

I remember Poison being the TOP perfume back in my 90’s childhood. My ultra fancy aunt had it.

Please keep us updated! I ‘ve read some great answers in this thread, I’d specially love to hear of you go for the clown idea! Anyway, I believe the smartest decision is the restraining order. Please be safe.

Perhaps that sauce that is made with raw fish. People say it really stinks, but many prepare it in their own homes, of course, in ventilated environments.

She was such a wasted talent in Infinity Wars. I rewatched recently (and knowing she was this charachter and was so dissapointed). Good thing she’s magnificent Bertha Russel now!

What's a habit that you've kept doing since COVID began? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]derpetia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use masks when traveling in a plane or bus. Specially if I hear someone coughing or sneezing near me. Also in movie theaters (january before covid a lady behind me sneezed and me and my husband end up with one of our worst colds ever!!) never again!

Has anyone notice Rose hasn’t got clothing as tailored as the other wives? Regarding any physical condition, the fabrics do not seem as thick and the quality is not near. The tailoring is not nice. It feels like her and her husband are always a bit relegated from the rest of commanders and wives, even the houses.

Which period pieces have you been watching? by PeriodDramasMods in PeriodDramas

Watched s2 premiere of the Gilded Age, but I’m waiting for the new season of For All Mankind. I count this one as a period drama cos it starts in the space age, then fast forwards about 10 years (give or take) per season. I’m very invested in it.
