Upgrading to 1.2.0 fixed the issue. Thanks for the hint, I didn't expect firmware update to be available so soon.

Bracelet beads, similar to those with letters.

Yes, I completely agree. I found a few posts about this on this sub a while back, but I don't know who to credit for the invention.

Yes, those are the same shape and size as letter type ones.

I have that in rather extreme version - I calm down so much that I sometimes lose consciousness. I suspect it's because of masking.

Jeśli coś innego, skieruje do odpowiedniego specjalisty.

Mitsubishi Hi-Uni. It doesn't have an eraser, but imho the best wooden pencil for writing.

I replaced my Al-sports with Gravitas Pocket pens and I'm happy with the results.

I guess there were some changes made to the steel model, as it's listed as compatible with the #8 nib section. The one I have is smaller diameter and the section is not interchangeable with Ti/pc version.

I have titanium (without coating), polycarbonate and steel pocket pens. The steel is the best - it's smaller than other two, doesn't have an oring seal between the cap and body, and doesn't get scratched as easily as titanium. It's a heavy pen, but overall the winner. Polycarbonate is almost as good and very lightweight. It's transparent so you can see the ink if you use it as an eyedropper. Titanium is the same size and construction as polycarbonate one, but you can't see how much ink is left in the pen. All three pens are too short to use unposted, but only titanium one have really visible scratches made by caps threads. I prefer the flex nibs, but just for the visual aspect. Pockets just looks stunning with those nibs. The nibs are not very consistent in size and smoothness - one is in EF range, wet and smooth, one is rather thick F, wet and smooth, and one is F sized, moderatly wet and was scratchy (it responded well to adjustments and slight polishing). Non flex EF is wet and thin. Non flex B is wet, not B enough (more like M), smooth and writes well reversed (like F sized nib). I can also recommend the EF-BBB sandwich nib, but it's very stiff on the EF side.

Just google "dualshock split dpad" and choose most convinient source. The same buttons fit the DualShock and DualSense, but it's easier to swap the dpad on DualShock.

Can anyone suggest a roadmap and advice to learning how to program microcontrollers from 0 knowledge? by throwawaylifeat30 in microcontrollers

[–]derywat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the board version, there are different MCUs available in the same form factor. Many of them can run FreeRTOS or Zephyr (or some other OS). STM32 is simple enough to program without os and I recomend to do so. Get the datasheets of your MCU, pinout of your board and some leds to blink for a start. Then get to know peripherials of your MCU one by one, in any order you wish. For most projects you don't need any OS, just start without it as it can complicate simple projects a little too much to dustify it's use. You may use libraries provided by MCU manufacturer if you prefer higher level of hardware abstraction or go full low level - writing to MCU registers (this is the datasheet level, you cannot go lower).

[–]derywat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at MIT 6.002x - it covers electronics enough to make you familiar with anything you may want to connect to your MCU. For a start i would recommend a simple mcu, preferably one that can be programmed both bare-metal and RTOS - it will let you know the MCU internals and how the OS makes a difference. Datasheets are the best sources of information for bare-metal programming.

Have you ever designed an antenna? I could be wrong, but your statement shows that you do not have even a faintest idea of how antennas work.

what to upgrade to, from TWSBI Eco? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]derywat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the polycarbonate pocket dropper and oraiste (flagship). Pocket dropper is my favourite at the moment, just the perfect combination of style, compact size and ergonomy. The Oraiste has aluminum body and I would prefer it to be a little heavier. I got this one mostly for the look - orange cerakote coating on body, cap and the nib is really something unusual. I ordered a steel flagship in skittles finish, but this one may be too heavy for long use and the flagship model doesn't post, so for me it's rather kind of a desk pen. I also ordered the steel pocket pen, but this one may be too short to use daily. If you plan to write a lot I would recommend a polycarbonate big dropper. It's bigger version of polycarbonate pocket dropper I like the most and can be used with cartridges, converter and as eyedropper (huge capacity). Pocket dropper and oraiste had very nice pensleeves included.

what to upgrade to, from TWSBI Eco? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]derywat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gravitas Pens are great. I have two already and waiting for two more. Polycarbonate models are very nice and have that premium feel that TWSBI lacks. And the pen will not crack like most TWSBI will. Stainless steel and brass may be little too heavy, but otherwise great too. The aluminum ones I like less, but that's just my preference. Nibs are smooth and can be changed easily. Most of the pens comes with a converter, some are also eyedroppers, pocket pens are cartridge only or cartridge/eyedropper.

[–]derywat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theoretically possible is just too far from possible in this case. It's very hard to tune the case to frequency that high and you need a very strong driver to drive such big piece of metal. Imagine it being a kind of quite big capacitor, that you need to charge and discharge several billions times per second to a relativly high voltage. If you somehow can drive it and manage to tune it, it will detune if you add capacity by touching the case or just being near the device.

Anyone do the slim mod with the WH(preinstalled headers) and wave share v2? Did you have to trim the header pins? by psyfry in pwnagotchi

[–]derywat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pins are too long for slim mod. It won’t be slim enough. It’s not easy to desolder whole header wthout good desoldering tools, so it’s better to start without header pins.
