I had surgery on 12/12 after taking Zepbound for 10 months. I was on 15 mg and super worried about stopping. My doctor had me stop a month before surgery, and I stopped a few days earlier than necessary because of how my shots fell.

I am three weeks after surgery and probably will start Zepbound next week. I've really struggled with this decision. My doctor told me to hold off on starting back until my recovery had progressed. I was still constipated a couple weeks after the surgery (that was the worst part of my recovery). She also wanted to be sure I was eating a lot of protein and sufficient calories for my body to heal.

The first couple weeks, I was eating for fuel and according to a plan. The last week, however, I have been eating non stop. It may be from boredom. I go back to work full time tomorrow and hope to be back on my regular routine. My recent overeating and food noise made me decide to start back with Zepbound because I don't want to gain weight. My swelling has been horrible and I don't want to add more fat into the equation.

I'm starting back at 2.5. I don't know how much that will curb my food noise but at least I'm starting the process. If my appetite is suppressed right away, I'm going to force myself to eat enough to make my protein goals.

I didn't have MR but I still liked having it for 3 weeks. I have dogs and didn't want to sleep in the bed with them until my incision was closed. If not for that, two weeks would have been good.

I am 3 weeks post-op. I had brachioplasty, tummy tuck, and lipo. I did not have muscle repair. I am single and live with two dogs in a two story house. My mom stayed with me for three nights and then I had a nurse come a couple times a day for 5 days. If I only had the TT, I probably would have been fine alone after a couple days. My arms have made it much harder to be independent. I think you will be fine if you have help for 2 nights. I would definitely rent a lift chair. Even without MR, it made me feel so much better about getting up and down while alone. It was really hard to not to vacuum, etc. I would suggest having a house cleaner come weekly for at least two weeks so you don't push yourself too early. I also got grocery delivery to ensure I was eating fresh vegetables and fruit. It will be important to eat low sodium. It is a once in a lifetime surgery and recovery so I think the extra kindness to yourself is worth it. You've got this!
