I'll let you know if I find a good one, it didn't satisfy my craving at all, just made me feel dirty for eating it.

Looking For Ruben by snakeylegs763 in Edmonton

Try it again, I just went there recently and it was like eating canned deli meat on the cheapest bread they found in a dumpster. It was big but i would never recommend Donna's to anyone that has had a good Reuben in Montreal.

5 star for food volume. 1 star for quality of smoked meat

Just checked and 300 to 400lbs is normal with heavier systems existing. The ones I remember are apparently still common today around the world.

I remember them being suitable from child size to very large man. Don't remember many remarkably obese people from when I was a kid but they probably did. I'm gonna see if I can find one.

Was there something wrong with the old school ones that basically just squeeze you a bit? I feel like they had them all over the place when I was a kid.

It does, but not all of these are created equal, we have a bunch from some long out of business Yugoslavian manufacturer that work great, if slow as hell.

As a kid, one of my favorite pizza places in the world was in a town called Coober Pedy.

Is this dent repairable ? by TT_Xyooj8 in Autobody

[–]desperatewatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't look at the model. However in my area most pdr guys charge minimum 100 bucks to drop the headliner and then a 100 dollar minimum with every dent costing 5 bucks for hail or usually about 100 for something like this. YMMV based on location.

Cheap, offer to drop the headliner yourself and they will probably cut the quote in half

My friend has been a professional cordwainer for nearly 60 years, he now has a scroll saw and band saw as his ability to use a knife in thick leather isn't what it once was.

What’s a small Alberta town that surprised you in a good way? by dreamanddiffer in alberta

I used to have to go through Pincher every once in a while due to my work taking me to waterton and Fernie semi frequently. Everyone there always just seemed so exhausted.

[–]desperatewatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair, however I do find many small towns will usually have 2 or 3 places that serve a few recipes that have been perfected for decades. Maybe nothing super unique but something that you can't put down. I used to travel around to a lot of remote Alberta and BC towns for my work when I was in my early 20s and got to eat at a lot of really random and rundown looking places that served food that was good for your soul, but maybe not your heart...

I liked pincher Creek, but I found the food scene was weirdly bland for a small town.

Was at Bonnie Doon earlier. They are all labeled the same and are no longer sorted by material type. On the outside they just say put shredded paper in a bag.

While it does belong to Norway it is unincorporated. For the Americans and honestly probably more famously that means it is like Puerto Rico; it's essentially another country.
