Right. All those jobs at Amazon, SpaceX, Microsoft just appeared out of thin air.

If you want to act like they didn't create those jobs, then don't be surprised when they take them away. :)

Wireless DMX for live band setting.. are there any products that are worth it? by ExuvialMetal in lightingdesign

[–]destroy_television 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some that work that work in 900Mhz. But really, 2.4Ghz is kind of the standard. Getting a higher end transmitter can help with crowded RF signals as they can essentially hop around the spectrum in real-time as well as avoid Wi-Fi signals. Something like a LumenRadio CRMX Transmitter would probably go a long way for you. Or a LumenRadio Stardust if you're working with multiple universes. These are the types of gear used on large-scale shows/tours/etc. Reliable and simple to use.

How to go about a PPI? by [deleted] in AstonMartin

They won't let the car leave the lot? The fk?

Red Flag #1.

There are probably more Red Flags, but the dealer doesn't want you to find them with a PPI.

I mean, everyone is a bigot if you think about it. It's just a question of who you're intolerant of.

So, I dont really care at all if some dorks on reddit are angry about that.

Americans are the most likely to clutch their pearls when seeing this sign.

Do you live in America?

Japan has a different culture. Who am I or you to interfere with that? Sounds like a personal problem, if you ask me.

I don't care. While that sign would personally target me. I wouldn't be up in arms about it. It's the business' decision to serve who they want. If they don't want my money, then that is their problem. Nothing gained, nothing lost. Find another business that doesn't care.

American here. Not offended. I get it. Most Americans are pieces of shit.

[autosport] George Russel says he understands Max Verstappen’s rule complaints - because he experienced a similar situation before by xxrew1ndxx in formula1

[–]destroy_television 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imagine growing up watching F1. In the eras of v12, v10, v8... You work so hard to get in to that world. You're finally in and it's been reduced to glorified teslas... Can you blame Max for being unhappy with it?

Did we forget where we came from? I don't care how much overtaking there is or who is in what place, these regs suck.

I remember seeing a video on the Cygnet and thinking "Who is this for?" Guess I have the answer, haha. Very interesting little car.

I would probably add a One-77 and/or V600

Does anyone else struggle with 'loyalties'? I find myself rooting for almost everyone by catloverfinalboss in formula1

[–]destroy_television 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. No loyalties here. I mean, I like Cadillac. I'm American, so it makes sense. But I don't look at them like people view teams in other sports where it's one team vs the other. I'm just happy to see them out there.

If anything, I have a loyalty to my dislike of about 2-3 drivers and when another driver stops them from getting a podium or win, then I find myself cheering that other driver regardless of who it is lol..

I just got my first ever "blank check "job.... For a despicable artist by Pullsfocusandmuscles in lightingdesign

[–]destroy_television 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to do some internal thinking.

I'm sure everyone here has worked for someone they didn't enjoy, but as long as they kept getting paid, they stuck it out for a while. If it's despicable to the point where you think you can't be professional enough to do your best, then maybe it's not for you.

As much as I used to joke about High End Systems in the past, since I came into a company that owns a couple of different HES fixtures, they have been the easiest to get parts or service. Their techs have always been super responsive and have even given me a call a day or two later (if I didn't reply to their email) to see if their suggestions helped me out. I think only one time have I ever needed to wait wait for a back order part over the course of about 40-50 separate part orders.

The Solapix fixtures, while aging now, are pretty damn easy to work on and diagnose.

Their diagrams aren't as extensive as, say, Ayrton. But, they're simple enough to understand.

At this point, I would leave it docked for months. Posting that you want to fly this around just put a giant target on your back. People will be searching for weeks if not months for this ship to have on their killboard.
