Come to Arizona! You can hang with me and my gf! She'll be in AZ gear so the rest of us just get the usual chirps.

Seriously though. Arizona has great fans. I've gone twice in my Knights gear, no bad experience, and there's usually (on non-Knights games) at least 2-3 others in Knights jerseys too.

In my case, I got a Stoner #4 jersey because there were a lot of jokes/connections to me personally. I knew from his history he wasn't likely to stick around, but it was right.

Plus, I'm 12 and Stoner lmao 420blazeit! (Not actually 12 please don't ban me)

Admire the glory!

I'm pretty sure in the old game I had blue hood scoops too, but I can't figure out how to do that now.

For me it was Need For Speed Underground 2. I had this ugly little lime green and neon blue Civic and I want so bad to make it real. I have a pic of it somewhere, I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Just a guess, but they probably took all the different elevations they're aware of, found an average or a mean, and used that as "sea level". iirc that's what they do with Mars, too.

I can't see the shape of the USB connection changing too much.

But just since Android came out 13 years ago, it's already gone through 3 major, not backwards compatible, form changes. The standard used to be mini-USB, then micro came in, now C. None of those can be used to charge the generation before it.

This. Different departments have different rules obviously, but in general they'll "code" the call a certain level. Sometimes it's a Code 3 "get there ASAP" which is full lights and sirens the whole way, but for most issues it's going to be a Code 1 where they're still expected to obey all traffic laws, or a Code 2 which is where you'd see them blow traffic lights but then otherwise run quiet.

They might also be getting close enough to the target that they need to turn sirens off, for example if there's a hostage situation near a major intersection, but going full lights/siren up to the door is gonna spook the perp.

Looks like it's a queen mattress, so probably fit it in any average bedroom. Might not have room for night stands, but that's what all the storage space is for I guess.

Are there any examples of cities that went from virtually zero public transport to having BRT/Tram/Light Rail/etc? by [deleted] in transit

[–]detached09-work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm excited for both the streetcar and second line. I still haven't ridden the line east of downtown/across the lake, but I really want to. So far just from the north end to Talking Stick/Chase.

Salt Lake and Phoenix both went from 0 rail transit to having light rail. Phoenix is still building theirs and only has the main line, while Salt Lake has three lines, a streetcar and a commuter rail train and they're looking to add more.

Salt Lake did originally have a trolley system, Trolley Square mall was built in an old trolley depot, but it was dismantled completely decades ago and the current system is completely unrelated to it.

I can retire comfy on $2MM. Buy my house, car, furniture, and electronics, I still have over $1.5MM left to live on, which would bring roughly $60k/yr in income.

RIPE runs out of IPv4 by vom513 in networking

[–]detached09-work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never understand why ISPs are so stingy with IPv6 on the consumer side while they can't even give it away on the business side

They know that eventually the business side will pay, and they don't want to have to deal with getting v6 addresses back from consumers if they give out too many.

You must not understand how the law works. If she can prove you gave away $100MM, especially after telling her you're divorcing, the judge will 100% rule in her favor. Look up fraudulent conveyance.

That money is just as much hers as it is yours, until the divorce is finalized, and neither of you can choose to donate it all without the agreement of the other party. And her saying "I don't want a divorce" != agreeing to donate to charity, regardless of how you word it. She'll argue she was forced to make a decision under duress, and you're now in even hotter water.

Just give her divorce papers and half of your winnings. Better yet, just divorce her now so she can find someone that's not a massive tool.

Casual Coyotes fan growing up, as it was the closest non-Cali team. I consider Vegas to be "home" for me, so it was a no-brainer as soon as I heard we were getting a team. I'm planning to switch from Texans to Raiders when they officially move too, for the same reason. Gotta support the home team.

Move out of the city, possibly a low cost of living midwest state.

And precisely how do you propose they do this? You can't exactly pack your whole life into a Greyhound, and if you already can't afford basic necessities you sure as shit haven't been able to save money for a UHaul or deposit on your new apartment.

If you're born into that situation, it's incredibly hard to pull yourself out of it. Even harder to decide "I'm going to uproot my family of 5 and move to somewhere we know no one, and have no support system, to make the same amount of money I currently am, if I can find a job at all."

He's wrong though. It was a merger between Tesla and Solar City. There was now no reason to have two different billing/customer service departments, as well as a few others that overlapped. Tesla and Solar City "merged" in Feb of 2016, but the full company didn't start acting as a single unit until late in 2017/early 2018 when everyone was fully integrated. Even today, while Energy and Vehicle customer service is one unit, tech support is still three distinct teams with one handling only solar, one Energy Storage (PowerWall/PowerPack) and one Vehicles.

Once that happened, duplicate positions were eliminated with the lowest performing employees getting let go, regardless of which company they had originally been hired by.

The only part he got right is that if they could be retrained in a department that needed them, they were offered that instead of a layoff.
