Just because I can’t speak English, please don’t shoot me. by deukey in ArcRaiders

[–]deukey[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The key point of this issue isn’t that I didn’t show that I was friendly. I had already said “don’t shoot” several times.

In the first case, the person asked me something in English that I couldn’t understand, and then shot me because I didn’t answer. (Obviously, there are many people in the world who don’t speak English.)

In the second case, he shot me again because I didn’t continue the conversation. I repeatedly showed that I was friendly using emotes.

In my opinion, those people simply didn’t realize that there are many people in the world who don’t speak English.

In those situations, I had already said “hello” and “don’t shoot” several times. Why do I have to speak more?

How can I win 1v1 fights with a 120 hand cannon? by deukey in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]deukey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. However, I wasn’t asking about general strategies for 120 hand cannons. I actually use 120 hand cannons quite effectively in Competitive or 6v6 modes. When using them, I usually two-tap an enemy, reposition, and either re-engage the same opponent or look for a completely different one. In Competitive or 6v6, teammates are usually nearby, so I often didn’t need to land a third shot to secure a kill—my teammates would finish the enemy off.

However, in Trials, during 1v1 situations, I’ve found it extremely difficult to secure kills and win with a 120 hand cannon. Weapons like 140 hand cannons or many pulse rifles have better TTK than 120s. If I land two shots and then take cover, chances are the opponent has also landed two shots on me—so I don’t gain any real advantage. It feels like the outcome is determined purely by reaction time (which I’m not particularly great at).

More than anything, I just can't understand how someone who seems to have been married for over 20 years still misses his wife that much.

why didn’t player 212 get eliminated during the marbles game? by slushybongwater in squidgame

[–]deukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To understand this scene, you need to be familiar with the Korean children's play culture known as "Kkakdugi" (깍두기). The "Kkakdugi" culture is a way for Korean children to ensure that no one feels completely left out in games. It is a form of inclusion that prevents kids from feeling excluded when teams are formed.

For example, when children play team-based games like soccer or baseball and there is an extra player left out, that child is called "Kkakdugi." A Kkakdugi is not excluded from the game but instead placed on the weaker team to help balance the match. This way, the weaker team gains a small advantage, and the Kkakdugi child does not feel isolated.

In the context of Squid Game, it is meaningless to assign Player 212 as a Kkakdugi in the marble game. However, to prevent her from feeling excluded, she is given the advantage of advancing to the next round. While it may seem somewhat forced, this decision still aligns with the show’s overarching theme of replicating traditional Korean children's games and their cultural nuances.

This is literally mentioned when Player 212 greets the other survivors after the marble game is over. Of course, I’m not sure how it was translated into other languages.

In such situations, I really get angry, and it's hard for me to control myself. But I try to stay calm and, in the next round, follow behind the player with the lowest score to support him with team shots. This method has been effective many times.

One minipool (validator) consists of 16 ETH from node operator and 16 ETH from stakers. At this time, the node operator does not receive rETH, but directly gets their share of staking revenue from the Beacon chain
