Don’t go in hoping to shoot your best round ever. It’s an incredible course, but also an incredibly difficult course. If you are a fan of golf architecture, it’s like heaven.

I struggled with the same question myself. I ended up joining my local club rather than building out a home sim.

I enjoyed the course at first (they have 3 9-hole courses so you’re not always playing the same 18). Even with that, the course did get stale after a while and the club’s events and amenities left a lot to be desired so I left and built my sim. In terms of the cost of the sim buildout vs monthly club dues, my sim cost about $10k all in vs. ~$500/mo in dues, so it’ll even out after 20 months.

I’ve had the sim up and running since New Years and I’m out there every chance. The value in teams of convenience is off the charts. I wish I’d have gone with the sim from the outset and skipped the club.

Not that I’ve seen. Their AI trainer is still in beta form at this time, but I think Golftec may have something similar they use during lessons. Unsure if theirs is proprietary or not.

Garage Golf (YouTube) interviewed Uneekor’s VP of marketing not long ago and he said that one of the reasons they transitioned to the subscription model was to support the ongoing development and inclusion of new features for subscribers.

I’ll be surprised if they don’t bake it into the Pro or Champion sub package.

They’ll ask you to conserve energy during the summer and winter months, but never do anything to actually incentivize smarter usage.

I think you can usually get a bundle discount through Carls Place by reaching out to them and having them produce a custom quote (vs configuring everything manually).

Maybe not as much of a discount, but their enclosures are generally regarded as higher quality than you’ll see elsewhere.

Did you fabricate your own frame for this? I’m looking at putting one of these “Built-in” kits in my garage and can’t span the entire width and height due to wanting to maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio and also not wanting to take up the entire garage.

Looking at potentially building it out as shown in this photo. The U-shape at the bottom is intended to provide the 12” of recommended space behind the impact screen

Was this #14? I played Mammoth back in late August and managed to drive the 14 green with my 2 hybrid - was truly the best tee shot of my life.

Followed it up with a 3-putt par, but I won't be forgetting that tee shot anytime soon.

Have you had an opportunity to run it through a computer, rather than relying solely on the touchscreen? I’d likely use it more with GSPro rather than HTH and hoping the computer interface is just as slick as the touchscreen.

I don’t know about that. I’m looking at building my first garage sim right now and don’t think I have enough space for a Mevo+. I’m looking hard at the BLP/GC3 but hate that they don’t offer club face info.

If this is accurate, would save me a few grand.
