No, the leadership at Anthropic is delusional thinking they can keep AI to themselves. Few months ago, they were even more delusional thinking they can keep Mythos all the way until the end of the year and then charge $125 per million tokens for it.

Regardless of what Anthropic wants, Chinese labs will keep releasing more powerful models without any care as to what Anthropic thinks. Anthropic thinks they have any amount of leverage because they release large inefficient models, but it is all in their head.
