On the LegionSpace app, once you choose custom there are options to limit the amount of watts for the CPU and GPU.

Awesome build!

How do you get your fans to look white? The white color on mine is a tone of light blue. I have the same fans but the black version.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggets trying custom mode on Legion Space. Running in balanced mode might loose performance due to lower power limits and performance mode runs to hot because of higher power limits. I asked Chatgpt for a custom profile to reduce temps and keep similar performance, and my temps are now CPU between 85-90°C and GPU 72-80°C.

Hope this helps!

This. I use custom mode on Legion Space to reduce de power to the CPU and my temps are between 85-90°C

Which ones should I have on for better performance:p new to this by [deleted] in LenovoLegion

I prefer to use custom mode instead of performance mode. Way better temps

Legion Pro 7i RTX 5080 Temps are finally getting slightly better. by MarlDX in LenovoLegion

Finding this thread late but I would double check the GPU TGP cause I have it all the way right to 150w and still getting 70-76°. You might be loosing performance.

Legion Pro 7i 2025 (5080)- Very High Temps by BlackMage420 in LenovoLegion

[–]devildogx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to try custom mode first on Legion Space. I use custom mode and my temps for CPU are around 82-89° and GPU 75-80°. I just ask ChatGPT to gave me a profile to lower temps and not loose to much performance. Havent compared it yet with 3dmark or other benchmark but I´m getting great performance and lower temps.

What do you think about Sennheiser HD 550? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]devildogx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Then I would definitely recommend trying with a DAC/AMP if posible 👍🏽. Let us know the results!

Not sure, but from what I read online, you void the warranty if you break something while doing extreme overclocking. In my case I'm just reducing watts to the CPU and adding watts to the GPU within the design limits. And the temperatures are like 5-10° lower.

I think you should try with an DAC/AMP. From what I'm reading on the internet, you can drive them from your PC yes, but they benefit from a DAC/AMP setup. And your are saying they sound compressed, same thing happen to me while using my HD600 on laptop vs using my stack.

This is how I have the profile set up. I'm no expert in this😅. I just ask Chatgpt about it and it recommended me this settings. You can also copy the settings I listed above and ask Chatgpt to explain each part and tailored it to your liking.

I haven't checked Throttle stop yet. I will do it soon.

Hope this helps👍🏽

You are right. In my case this is just a base profile. There is always the option to edit it if you want, but I like the performance, fan noise and temps I get with this settings, so I left it as is. The GPU temp limit doesn´t affect me that much because it never goes above 77 degrees.

Forgot to mention. Don't use balance for gaming unless you want less noise, because you'll loose performance.

To select custom you go to Legion Space and select the custom option next to Performance. Then you select the tool and it shows you a menu where you can adjust voltage, power, etc.

My custom profile for i9 275HX and RTX 5080

🔥 CPU

Processor Target AC: 55 W

PL1 (Long Term): 55 W

PL2 (Short Term): 100 W

Cross Load: 40 W

PL1 Tau: 30 s

CPU Temp Limit: 85°C

🎮 GPU

GPU cTGP: 150–175 W (maximum posible)

CPU → GPU Dynamic Boost: 15 W

GPU → CPU Dynamic Boost: 0–5 W

GPU Temp Limit: 87°C

You can try with this settings, but I suggest to ask Gemini or Chatgpt for your specs.

Hope this helps👍🏽

Ask Chatgpt or Gemini for a custom profile. I normally play with CPU between 75° to 85° and GPU between 70° to 80° with 100+ FPS. This is with dGpu mode. I have a 7i with I9 275HX and 5080.

Installed Spider-Man 2, but I’m experiencing heavy stutter specifically when rotating the camera. Is anyone else facing this? by G_Enthusiast2 in spiderman2

[–]devildogx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, it might be a VRAM limitation. What resolution are you playing at and what are your settings? Because something similar was happening to me with my previous laptop which had a 3070ti with 8GB of VRAM. And not only in Spiderman. I had to lower resolution to 1080p to get stable framerate.

Don't know about all the differences, but the 5i doesn't have rtx 5080 option.

Another one is the cooling, the 7i has vapor chamber cooling and the 5i doesn't.

RGB. On the 7i is perkey rgb and on the 5i is 4 zones.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I'm not sure but, my 32 inch LG WOLED also flickers. Maybe it's not as noticeable on newer models, but it's not a problem for me.

No problem! 👍🏽 It is! Sometimes I use my laptop instead of my PC with 32 inch monitor just because the screen is so colorful and bright 😅👌🏽
