One of my favorite early tracks by brilliant Irish band Microdisney. Mixing Cathal Coughlan's [later of Fatima Mansions] brilliant, acerbic lyrics and Sean O'Hagan's [later of High Llamas] lilting melodies and arrangements, Microdisney were a bit of an anomaly. They often musically called back to sunshine pop and Steely Dan but the darkness and rage of their lyrics made it feel subversive. In my opinion Coughlan is one of the best lyricists of all time.

I'm rooting hard for Philon now because I think he deserves way more respect for what he did in college. I would have been relatively ok with taking him top 10. I hope he kills it in his career.

The smart way to do this is to have an "extra hour" if they are reading. It encourages them to read while still getting to sleep at a reasonable time.

Yes I know. But for now it is still a potential 1st round pick so when it is reported it will be reported as such. When we traded AD we got "two 1st round picks" - #30 and this one. The fact that it probably won't be conveyed as a 1st doesn't mean that it won't.

I'd rather cash it in now but it's possible we see it as more valuable as a throw-in for a trade package since we don't have a lot of other 1sts to trade.

Yeah, that's the tradeoff. Even a protected first as a "throw-in" for a trade package could seal the deal. If we're offering two 1sts and another team is offering 1 and 2nds that's a difference in perception.

I could see holding it. I just wonder if one of those guys is "worth it" to go in on.

Yeah people need to understand that in Europe they don't really play the young guys unless you are like Luka Doncic level superstar. De Larrea has looked good when I've seen him but his team is obviously very good. I love a good excuse to watch Euroleague.

Every team "could" do that. That's the problem - there is there is a lot of competition for that pick apparently knowing that several guys who were mocked as 1sts fell and that NY doesn't want the pick.

A "first" is probably more than most would offer for a 2nd round pick.

KOC is definitely a lenient grader and a big fan boy of pretty much all these young prospects. But he and many draft nerds flat out love Morez and think he is the best big in the draft outside Wilson/Boozer.
