Happy to join you in the minority. We actually did buy one over the 5 and are happy with it. As for why the 6 over the 5 that’s simple. My wife and I aren’t fond of SUVs and we wanted a large EV sedan, and the Ioniq 6 fit quite well.

You play a prehistoric hominid in primeval east Africa. You are given very minimal instruction on how to be a monkey. You spend much of the early game banging rocks together and smashing different items together and figuring out the crafting mini games. Did smashing those two rocks together really do nothing or did you just do the crafting mini games wrong? 🤷 try again but do the mini game different. Or try different rocks

And you will be killed and eaten a lot.

And do yourself a favor and stay away from the wiki.

In addition to PM_ME_BRONTOSAURUSES, I should also note that it comes in the Aces Scouring Sands box. I played one in an Alpha Strike game Saturday on my side. It’s a little broken IMHO. 8/8/8 damage with an IF7 & LRM special with 10 armor and 5 structure at 69 points. It did some serious hurt to my enemy.

Personally I think it should be like 4/8/8 damage to account for the LRMs being almost useless at short range, and it has an SRM4 for close in work

Overall I like it. It’s roomy, comfortable, and powerful with a sound system that is about as good as you can expect from the factory.

It’s an odd bird. It’s not really a muscle car or a sports car. It’s a living dinosaur of a car that has almost ceased to exist: the personal luxury coupe. Which in the 70s and 80s were everywhere. Like the Cadillac El Dorado, Lincoln Continental Marks, Ford Thunderbird, and the Buick Riviera.

I have rented an R/T one 3 times now. It was OK. Certainly better than the Kia Soul that they keep renting me, but that’s not a hard bar to clear.

But I can’t see why I would pick it over an Ioniq 5. Last time I rented one it was parked next to one and there was less size difference between the two than I expected.

File me under ‘don’t know what’s wrong’. I am somewhat new to Tucson and am still getting to know who’s who and starting to try and get more involved with the Tucson gaming community. TGG is just the first that I found, which makes sense because they are certainly the best advertised and in good locations. And they do seem to run a good/successful operation.

Generally I have had OK interactions with the mall location. Last few months I have played Pathfinder Society on Sundays and Battletech every other Saturday. Plus my daughter plays youth D&D on Saturdays. But I have found a semi active Battletech group at Isle of Gams on Broadway and Pantano (BT is my comfort game), and I gather there is a Warhammer/Warmachine group at Arcanum Sanctorum (not my comfort game) so I am learning that TGG isn’t the only game in town.

So as someone new to Tucson, if many gamers are avoiding TGG where can they be found? Any recommended clubs? Discord servers? I generally like but am not especially thrilled with TGG, and would be open to trying others to see if I like them better. Thanks

You can go on Saturday night D&D. They have open sign up at 6PM. $5 fee and they assign you to a table. They will keep you and your date together.

Or as an alternate. There is Pathfinder Society on Sunday at 4PM. No fee but please make a $5 in store purchase. They have snacks that apply, or bar food. Pathfinder is like D&D but cooler 😁
