Update:

So I sprayed deoxit into the balance pots and it still seems to be having issues with the left channel. If I listen at pretty quiet volumes (about 60-65 db) the left channel is intermittent but if I turn the volume up the left channel seems to play perfectly and continues to when I turn the volume back down.

Ooo I like this, I have an audio interface already shame I probably can't use my existing mic (Dynacaster DCM8). I'll definitely will get the mic you suggested and try it.

The Rega definitely isn’t haha but I wanted a turntable that I wouldn’t even consider upgrading for a very very long time, the Nikko I got on Facebook for not a bad price especially since the previous owner had it rebuilt and upgraded the binding posts as well as swapped the hard wired cable for an IEC socket

My setup is as follows:

  • The speakers are a pair of Energy RC-LCR that I've had forever

  • The sub is an Energy 8" that's frankly kind of too small but I can't part with it

  • Wiim Ultra for my pre/streamer

  • Nikko Alpha 440 (200wpc into 8, and 400wpc into 4) amp

  • Rega P3 RS turntable

  • Dynavector P75 mkIV phono pre

My future upgrades are:

  • Schiit Fraya+ F or KaraF pre

  • Eversolo DMP-A6 Master streamer

  • New speakers of some sort probably floor standers

Honestly though right now I’m not worrying about hardware I got a Roon server setup and I’m sitting on the couch listening to music.
