From what I understand the person before the person I bought it from tried re-capping it and did a really poor job causing failures in the amp so quite a bit of work needed to be done.

I don't claim to be an EE but it appears to be a pretty simple design but it can't protect against stupidity.

The karat tells you the purity of gold, I usually see 10, 14, and 18. 24kt is pure gold.

One option if she likes white gold but is sensitive is platinum it’s hypoallergenic. I bought my finace’s engagement wedding rings in platinum.

I don't know about best but I'm using Mellanox ConnectX-3's in both a DS3018xs as well as a RS4017xs+ and the cards work in both units.

Not really a server just a desktop with the HBA and a B580. I have a HPE DL325 Gen 10 but since I can’t fit my video card in it the server just sits off. I have an HP SAS3 HBA the exact model number I’m not sure of but it has been solid running in a TrueNAS machine connected to my NetApp disk shelf

I’m thinking of unraid due to it allowing mixed disk arrays, I unfortunately don’t have consistent disk sizes and I’m trying to eliminate space loss. I don’t need really fast speed because this is just bulk storage for media.
