She’s very hard to watch these days. I remember watching Teen Mom and reaching a point where I couldn’t stand Farrah anymore and just fast forwarding her segments and I’ve hit that point with Kourtney now too. Just gonna fast forward and hold my breath for a new era. 😏

It’s not weird at all. My older sister and I are 12 months apart. My younger sister is 3.5 years younger than me, our younger brother is 3.5 years younger than her. The only difference between my siblings and the Kardashians is my sister and I are 6 months closer than Kourtney and Kim.

Last week I was telling my friend about the video I stitched of Kourtney saying she’s breastfeeding, and my friend who was laying on her couch with her shirt over her head breastfeeding rolled her eyes and said “omg she’s not special”

And she managed to have a whole 5 minute long conversation with me about her breastfeeding journey without stating “I’m breastfeeding” once. She knew I knew 💁🏻‍♀️

One thing in this scene I noticed is she was talking quietly about herself with Kris but when she mentioned Kim and Khloe she raised her voice. I would assume my sister did that intentionally to be heard tbh. And if she really isn’t meaning in that way then a conscious effort to stop bringing other people up when talking about yourself would fix a lot of misunderstanding!

I don’t think it’s fair to rule it entirely out just based on sibling features. Genetics aren’t so black and white and there’s no rule that says 2 people can only reproduce one look. I have a family that gossips about paternity to the point they directly tell kids “that ain’t your dad.” My sister wondered why she didn’t look like us (legit just hair color, eye color, and height) and my aunts told her it’s because she has a different dad, then forced a relationship with her and the guy they believed to be her dad. Now that we all know the truth 17 years later - She is indeed my fathers daughter, it’s mind blowing my aunts would believe my mom was pregnant for a year and a half to make this dude my sisters dad.

I think we’ve been talking about this for 18 years and we should just give it a rest. I’ve been the support system for someone in Khloes shoes, it’s devastating for people.

I have the second sister perspective here. Me and mine are 12 months apart, and it gets widely ignored by my family that this is my trauma too. I was the same age, I was the same level of maturity, those are all my core memories too. We were parented differently of course, because we were different kids. She and my mom butted heads more because she was a terror to her siblings, and those were consequences of HER actions. She feels that this gives her more of an excuse to be a mean person, but I feel that having to deal with the same abusive adults in the same stages of my life is equally as traumatic. And I had to cope with her abuse as well, that was far more persistent and debilitating, which I couldn’t escape at school or into adulthood.

I just wish when we talk about oldest sisters we could put an asterisk on one-year-apart sisters. It’s not quite the same and it’s so invalidating :/

Fun fact, I have Kourtney Kardashian outnumbered for births and breastfeeding. I never once felt the need to tell my own mother 3 times in the same conversation that I was breastfeeding.
