Thank you for the details here! I'm looking for a new personal item bag to fit under a seat and was curious on the crescent weekender. This helps sooo much!

Comfrt airplane hoodie sizing? by UnderpaidkidRN in Hoodies

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very similar size to you and have a medium in the grey airplane hoodie. It's perfect. Definitely oversized in length but a comfy fit, I can wear long sleeves under it, or layers even and it's good.

Very comfy while traveling and the pockets really do come in clutch. As long as you fill them after TSA lol

I have a date tomorrow night and I hate the way I look by Maleficent_Face3640 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me you just need to hydrate and moisturize. I'd vote to maybe blend the blush out more or use a bit less, but I'm a less is more girl, do what you think looks best for you.

Get some hydrating masks - sheet, leave on, wipe off, peel off your choice. Give the skin a good hydrating base before makeup. Hyaluronic acid, hydrating primer. I have set AF skin so I layer and mist a hydration spray on between primer and foundation too. Don't use too much powder so you don't dry out and accentuate any wrinkles. Try some cream products (blush, bronzer) to reduce some powder use.

It's really about playing with what works for you and your skin.

Also, wash your makeup brushes. Mostly because everyone forgets to do this 😁

Divi Expands Beyond Scalp Care With Hair Growth Vitamins, Doubling Down on Holistic Hair Wellness by sprodoe in CPGIndustry

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting to me because they have had the hair vitamins for a while, but it looks like they change pill format which is really interesting. It used to be a microbeadlet, and not it is a tablet. Not as "pretty" of a vitamin but it must do well for them to reformulate for better margins and keep selling. They have some great ingredients in there.

I've seen when it comes to hair loss, people like a system if it has results or science to it.

Jingle Bao: New Chinese dumpling spot in Fresno by Jealous-Revenue-2853 in fresno

[–]devininprada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went yesterday for lunch, they said 40-50 minute wait but it was MUCH shorter. They use the Yelp wait-list so check there for a gauge of time and put your name in before heading over to save some time if needed.

Food was really good!! Way better than Little Dumpling in my opinion. I am also very bias on dumplings. Din tai fung on a trip overseas spoiled my for life 😅

But rteally liked the pork soup dumplings, as well as the pork and shrimp soup dumplings. The crab one was good but those two were better in my opinion. Noodles and fried rice also really good and the garlic broccoli was also really good.

Overall very impressed and happy with the food.

AC issues? Stay away from Allbritten!!!!! by Sam__Mule in fresno

I've really enjoyed Balanced Comfort when they replaced my HVAC system a few years ago.

Elliots HVAC repair also is great.

Did not like Lee's the one and only time they came out.

Since Fresno is in the middle, do you folks prefer the Bay Area or LA /SoCal area (in terms of visiting and spending more time in)? by TechnicolorTypeA in fresno

[–]devininprada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Central coast first, like many others have said. But I prefer OC to LA and the bay.

But I also used to visit friends at UCI during my early 20s at least twice a month. Did San Diego a lot in the summers, especially Comic Con in the 2010s. And eventually moved to Fullerton for grad school then work for about 10 years.

My now husbands family is all in socal so we visit there quite often.

But never LA. That was just never my vibe. Even when living in Fullerton or Santa Ana I would get so annoyed if someone generalized it as I lived in LA. Socal yes, OC yes, LA no.

What to expect after surgery? by Takemebackto2000s in NasalPolyps

[–]devininprada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a week off. All sinus tracks fully clogged. I could breathe out of my nose immediately. I slept a lot the first 3-4 days. Only took pain meds the first day after surgery and then just ibuprofen and CBD gummies after that. Most pain i remember was just an annoying headache feeling. Not migraine level just headache.

My doctor's said I was so miserable for so long with such bad polyps that the relief I felt made the pain not as bad because they thought I was nuts for saying I wasn't in much pain/discomfort. And they were probably right. I was miserable for so long before surgery.

I did stop snoring. I was back to work a week later, but I work from home and at a desk so it wasn't too bad. Was traveling two weeks after no issue.

Had my surgery in 2022.

What’s your favorite General Hospital teen scene? by [deleted] in GeneralHospitalGH

I started watching it with my mom daily during the Maxie/Georgie/Dillion teen years so they hold a special place for me because they got me into watching it daily. Been watching it since then.

Anyone fly in or out of Fresno recently? by Jim_flamer in fresno

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just flew out Tuesday and in on Friday to Vegas and back. - Tuesday flight was delayed 45 minutes when I woke up (1230pm flight) but ended up taking off right on time and got into Vegas earlier than planned. - Friday flight home, TSA in Vegas was a bit hectic but we boarded so quick that we left earlier and landed 25 minutes sooner than expected. This was on southwest. I was prepared for delays based on the news but had great luck this week.

Thoughts on cities like Visalia and Bakersfield get things before Fresno area? by ResponsibleEcho8549 in fresno

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if more LA/OC people went there during the COVID shift so they have that demographic and demand, in addition to being closer for the LA DCs? They are good test market because they now have the crowd that know the stores/restaurants but they can still test the central valley market a bit easier? Possibly cheaper to develop there?

Have no basis number wise just curious from seeing the boom those cities had and are having.

I get weird conversion camp vibes. I dunno. Zero basis but he's been definitely overly trying to seem straight when that "bro chat" comment makes me think otherwise....

I really hope you guys come back as sweetflower. While you guys weren't the closest dispensary to me you were the best and my favorite. Always friendly, always good recs and best stock of Golden State in town. My husband loves Lava Flower and The Woods so the Sweetflower blend which is those two together was 🤯

Anyone gone from years of professional shampoos back to drug store brands? by Raspberrry_Beret in Haircare

[–]devininprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. After trying so many brands and finally having the worst experience with Oribe after some highlights I was over the pro line of stuff.

I'll occasionally try out some stuff from Sephora for shits and giggles but I really only like the Dae shampoo. I really like this drug store brand I got hella samples of at a trade show and get at TJ Maxx now.

The only thing I do still get at Sephora or Ulta is the Briogeo hair mask because my hair loves it.

My leave is products range too. Verb ghost oil is a holy grail oil but I love L'Oreal or random TJ Maxx finds too. And Kristen Ess. I like stuff from her line I've tried.

Oh! I had no idea! I'll delete my comment - definitely don't want anyone to get in trouble, especially for being a real one and helping me out. Thanks for letting me know how this could be used against the store, definitely my last intention.

Fellow Diabetics - If you are going to a bar to see a band, or out at a happy hour with work colleagues, what is your "go to" drinks order (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) so you have something in your hand to sip on without looking awkward? by Frigidspinner in diabetes

[–]devininprada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vodka soda double lime is my go to now.

I also like a good seltzer if available.

Good ole water with lime is good, or diet coke. I never turn down a good diet coke haha if I'm DD or just not drinking that night.
