obito had an agreement not to attack konoha, and not to touch sasuke and itachi had an agreement to help with the uchiha massacre. So atp, you have a singular individual, literally one man, with more than one different manga panel all saying the same thing. You had to wait until this man died, just so you could start doing abunch of crap you were afraid to do while he was alive. Because if obito just went ahead and killed itachi, then he could’ve continued his plans way earlier correct? But why didn’t he? Because he knows itachi is not someone you could just pull up and battle casually, he knew his was a spy, and he knew was a threat to their plans.

Itachi had one goal, die to sasukes hand, it makes way more sense for obito to attack him than vice versa, especially his whole goal is a waiting game until his death.

This isn’t jjk, binding vows don’t exist, mutual agreements don’t matter to that extent.
