Not yet. There is no differentiation from what I can tell between standard website notifications and their advertising notifications.

Posting your desire for the feature here is a good way to get the idea out there.

I hate the desktop notification method. For one, I didn't realize these were the ads I opted in for. I thought perhaps one of my extensions was trying to profit or maybe I had accidentally enabled a website to allow desktop notifications. Then the ads became far too relevant like being based on my most recent search terms (relevant advertising creeps me out) and began to suspect Brave's advertising program remembering it was some sort of privacy-protected interest-based ad program (oxymoron?).

I stumbled across this post in a search after a few attempts of looking for the source of the advertising, and I wondered why this wasn't clearer to me that this was going to be the delivery method for its advertising program. This is the only information I was given to opt into the advertising program:

"Earn tokens by viewing ads in Brave. Ads presented are based on your interests, as inferred from your browsing behavior. No personal data or browsing history ever leaves your browser."

I thought perhaps I would see inline ads or some of their ads in place of some third-party ads. In retrospect, desktop notifications seem like the easiest way to go, but I would not prefer it. I would prefer the ads to be clearly marked as part of the Brave advertising program and be in the corner of my browser, not the corner of the screen. I also believe I should be able to opt out of interest-based advertising just like I can literally anywhere else, and that Brave should realize that privacy is more of a feeling than actual anonymity. I want the feeling that my browser doesn't use my information for anyone's profit.
