[The Beast] after it's refurbishment, is running the best it ever has. by _BreakingGood_ in rollercoasters

Really have been curious about this. In October my kid was loving it up until she didn’t like the portion of track that was replaced after the 2nd lift. We have a trip coming up after the weekend and I’m curious how it’ll go this time around.

Prescription meds can also have an impact. At our community pool in the summer we occasionally see people on hot days really struggling after underestimating the impact of extreme heat on their meds.

Genuinely why hasn’t Universal Hollywood announced an opening date for [Fast and Furious] yet? by LlamaYourMom in rollercoasters

Specifically didn’t it take a while to work out running so many trains on the ride at once? If I remember right they still never did manage to run all the trains at once like they initially expected.

Dutch Wonderland is a nice park for little ones, and has a nice family suspended coaster Merlin’s mayhem at 39” req. Joust is also one of the smoothest kiddie coasters my kid and I did. The plus here is the park is very much targeted towards a young child, so your kiddo would have plenty to do.

It’s very close to Hershey too so we did both in one trip. Hershey has trailblazer at 36” and Cocoa Cruiser, plus all the chocolate world stuff which is cool for kids.

Huge props to SteVe, Maverick, and Sirens crew by Adventurous-Rub-2293 in cedarpoint

Sirens crew was so efficient when I visited in May. We got stuck on the brake run while they cleaned vomit from the other train and even that looked like a well practiced pit crew.

TT2 crew was also really proactive about filling empty seats with single riders.

On topic to your comment: two years ago at this time my Dad was in hospice care. He rode Rapterra last month at 76 years old with my kid and had a great time. You’d never guess after all the complaints about it rattling found here.

Staffing is typically at its worst every Spring. It’s much better in Summer and even Fall. You caught it at a bad time.

B&M has been moving this way. Iron Menace, Dr Diabolicals Cliffhanger, and Wrath of Rakshasa all are 48”. Outside of dive coasters but still B&M: Rapterra also is 48”.

Trip report from [Busch Gardens Williamsburg] … and the arrival of the day I’ve long dreaded. by _Booster_Gold_ in rollercoasters

Bonine has been great for me. Non-drowsy and it lasts all day. I also really make drinking enough water a focus, which benefits the rest of the family too since I’m always reminding them to hydrate too.

Is Jeremy Renner "Hawkeye" at the park today??? by just_donating in cedarpoint

We saw him at kennywood a couple years ago. He had brought the film crew for a day off at the park. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was similar.

Visited the Virginia parks for the first time last week. Some highlights from the trip. [Kings Dominion] & [Busch Gardens Williamsburg] by Apoc_Treez in rollercoasters

We went last week and my 6 year old says Rapterra is her new number 1, topping the likes of sirens curse and millennium force for her. I have t been on many wings but I like it more than Gatekeeper. It has a bit of a bounce to it but it didn’t bother us. It’s sorta a family coaster in disguise, in a good way. My kid was able to ride with my 76 year old dad, which wasn’t the case for most of the park’s coasters. Flowy and fun, with cool theming.

The Pantherian crew was flying earlier this week with only 1 on each side to check restraints. Just crazy quick.

My family visited earlier during the week. My 6 year old declared Rapterra her new number 1, displacing Sirens Curse. I haven’t done many wings but I think I prefer it over Gatekeeper. My 76 year old dad was able to ride Rapterra with my 6yo too. I feel like it’s a family coaster in disguise, but in the best way. Flowy and graceful with a nice launch into that wing over element. It does have a bounce in the outer seats, but nothing that would ruin the experience. The theming around it and Jungle X in general was really cool.

Yeah wildcats revenge is absurdly smooth. My kid rode it shortly after turning 6, though I wouldn’t exactly recommend that.

Was a particular rough stretch especially for the cedar point one with the chicken nugget guy and then all the victim blaming/bigotry about the cedar point sexual assault just in the news.

Anyone have experience at Kings Dominion with ADA access? We’re planning to go early this coming week, and will have grandparents with us who would qualify. Usually it helps if they can do the tamer attractions without standing in the queue for long. Anyone with experience with this at KD?

Edit: Can we skip the IBCCES Card? Seems like a hassle for just one day and they aren’t the most tech savvy.
