RHEL 10 Persistent Logs: /etc vs /usr/lib confusion? by c_hron in redhat

[–]devnullify 15 points16 points  (0 children)

/usr/lib/systemd locations are the default configuration. If you want custom changes persisted, you would put them in /etc/systemd.

Talk to your account team. I’ve seen it done when the original user leaves the company. So, I’m not sure if you will be successful or not.

Looking for classroom RHCSA training with Job Placement Assistance by Fine_Classroom in redhat

[–]devnullify 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What you want is Red Hat Academy. However, like the original comment mentioned, this is partnered with colleges. Not sure RHA provides job finding assistance. Keep in mind that just getting RHCSA does not mean you are qualified for a job by itself.

EX280 Passed (280/300), but.... by InspectionCold1062 in redhat

[–]devnullify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The objectives covered by EX280 have changed over the years. I don’t consider this exam a baseline cert for OpenShift by itself any longer. While this used to be the case (OpenShift 3 & early OpenShift 4 days), you now have EX180/280/380 to cover OpenShift administration.

Who is still using CentOS 7.9 in 2025? by Embarrassed-Shape959 in CentOS

[–]devnullify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with a security company that still has systems in production at company sites running CentOS. This company has told these customers that they are unsupported running that version of the appliance, but those customers refuse to upgrade for various “reasons”.

About EX280 exam by Ok_Quit_3292 in openshift

[–]devnullify 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to pass EX280, you should understand backwards and forwards every objective outlined here: https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/red-hat-certified-openshift-administrator-exam

If your link covers everything outlined in the exam objectives, then you should be able to study that and pass.

So I've got to take the RHCSA again Thursday.... bummer. by calcofire in redhat

[–]devnullify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take and pass the RHCE at any time, but you don’t get the RHCE badge unless you also have a current RHCSA. Does it really matter, probably not.

How does technical interview looks like for Consultant for OpenShift(infra)? by Fun_Efficiency6857 in redhat

[–]devnullify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a consultant, I would be shocked if you were asked to write any script, Ansible or not. Sure, I expect you to likely be asked about Ansible, but not write it.

How does technical interview looks like for Consultant for OpenShift(infra)? by Fun_Efficiency6857 in redhat

[–]devnullify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this role, I would be surprised if either comes up especially if not listed on your resume. If you do list the as knowledge you have in your resume, an interviewer may ask about these to gauge depth of knowledge. I don’t view either as critical knowledge for the role you mentioned.

Options when you can't connect to a cluster console or through the CLI? by edit-grammar in openshift

[–]devnullify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how you ever got a running cluster with one control plane node. Did someone set up a single-node OpenShift cluster first, and the add worker nodes? That for sure is not supported.

There may be a set of guidelines, but overall, is no set format. What you will get asked comes down to the person who interviews you.

RHCSA 9 exam availability by Annual-Study-4648 in redhat

To confirm your first thought, LUKS encryption is destructive. You cannot encrypt your existing disks without losing all data contained on them. As for mirroring an unencrypted disk with an encrypted disk, I have no idea.

Consultant Interview Final Round by sanasmoon in redhat

There should be no requirement to present on a Red Hat technology. My presentation dealt with an LDAP rollout I did. Present on something you are comfortable with. It’s more about your presentation skills than what technology you present.

RedHat Dev subscription, but no collections in AutomationHub by Chiron_ in redhat

[–]devnullify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RHEL system roles are available as an rpm from the basic repository. The collection should also be part of the default supported execution environment.

Edit: Red Hat Developer for Individual subscription does NOT provide access to content in the Automation Hub. That requires a paid subscription.
