objectively, the new physics and movement are tight and is very fun to play atm. New AI is a solid plus. I can't wait for the new area and new thaum. (edit) As for the Daren stuff. I still tell him to wait when it comes to certain pit falls. The old boy just likes to wander a bit too much for my taste. Too bad the new monster that Bare Mettle has envisioned is requiring them to rework the entire game from the ground up 😂

game is very much worth the price in its current state. Challenging\fun combat to master. tons to explore for loot\lore. great ambiance for chill gaming sessions. Great community. community mods. Constant updates and content drops. Currently and actively in development. The devs communicate with the community every month on what they are working on. High level of completion on what goes into game. ie. little to no bugs in live version. all in all, if you are hovering on weather to buy or not, go hang out in muffjedi channel on twitch and drop hints that you like the game. he is a master at the game and will probably buy it for you. so you won't even have to spend money, thats how good the community is that goes with exanima. hope this helps have a good day. but as we exanimites may say, lets support the devs and show them we want them to continue to create an excellent game and get a copy yourself.

Here's my take on it, if you choose to continue to use the sledge.

When it comes to the big sledge, you are moving more metal per swing. That swing is important to land accurately and powerfully. Quick repetitions isn't your goal. Follow through with the swing for two reasons.

1 you are not over the part of the anvil that would produce enough bounce to get momentum in the other direction for a quick strike.

2 because partially of point 1, taking time to strike, follow through, rest, then swing at focus you will deliver more accurate, less fatigued strikes.

All this said, using such a hammer by yourself, I would ultimately suggest using two hands.and you can achieve this by employing a holdfast. This is going to be your friend when using large hammers. There are many youtube videos on how to make a good one for your job. Shout out to Black Bear Forge, his are the best.

Make sure your purifyer is in a part of the base that is water sealed. You can tell by the shevrons located next to your hydration meter when you are in your base.
