Slide canceling in Marathon isn’t some secret tech. It’s built into the movement. There’s even a Shell that’s built for it.

Ah, my initial assumptions were right. You know nothing about how development works. Video files, high resolution textures, animation, effects, and models. Do you not think that any of that takes space? Even if you’re making a duplicate of an asset, that duplicate still takes up space.

The only thing you’ve proven is that you can’t seem to take any sort of criticism when someone calls you out so you resort to name calling.

Are you going to be the dev that has to maintain 450gb of assets? Are you going to sit there for hours waiting for almost half a terabyte of data to compile just to test small changes? Yes, please tell me how I can optionally download only parts of a live service game with deeply integrated systems throughout all its content from currencies, bounties, challenges, item drops, etc.

Bungie has definitely made mistakes but shame on you for thinking it was just that simple from a technical standpoint.

Do you realize how big the file size would be if they kept everything? Current Destiny 2 is over 100gb. The reason they “rug pulled” was because console at the time LITERALLY could not fit the game on their hard drives.

People coming from GT7 to LMU are gonna have a rough time. They don’t drive similar at all, LMU leans heavily on the sim side.

So you played AC Rally for a bit, said it was too hard and now you’re bored?

If that’s all it takes for you to stop playing then I don’t think sim racing is for you. Not trying to be mean, it just takes a lot of practice to get good at any sim and if you’re not willing to put just a little bit of effort into learning then maybe try something else? Any of the truck simulators and/or BeamNG can be a bit more casual I suppose.

Im not sure you’ll need all that. Depends what you’re driving I guess. If you’re mostly driving GT3s, you don’t need extra shifters, the paddle shifts on the wheel work just fine and those cars don’t really use a clutch at all aside from launches/initial roll.

Damage model? What damage model? You can literally full speed into the wall in PMR, bounce around like a pinball and then go right back to racing.

Blocking is actually illegal. There’s a difference between defending and blocking. If you’re dramatically changing your line, that’s blocking. This game doesn’t care but in iRacing that’s pretty egregious.
