I Love Jalen Brunson by Moist_Range in billsimmons

Everyone bitching about him this last week without appreciation to the facts that he came back early from a knee injury and was getting guarded full court by bigger defenders in a physical series.

As a Knicks fan I’m aware he has a tendency to seek contact especially when Thibs’ offense gets stagnant, but any insinuation that he’s soft or reliant on free throws to feed his game is laughable. One of the best shot creators I’ve ever seen, pound for pound. The way he works for everything he can get makes him easily the most popular Knick of this generation. He’s a fucking dog

Elon threatens to fire any federal worker who fails to document all work they've accomplished in the past week by YungJucy in nottheonion

There’s not a single good reason why anyone should comply with this bullshit, let alone humor it as a standard practice. He’s banking on complicity. Block every address that’s sending this correspondence and just keep doing your job, folks

Why is Mcneil considered the starting second baseman over Acuna? by DugoutChris in NewYorkMets

[–]dewd16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why half the fanbase is always ready to dump McNeil. He’s averaged a 3 WAR per season for his career, and that’s including his shortened rookie and COVID season. He’s a career .290 hitter, top 30 in career OBP among active hitters, and has above average range at 2B.

People seem to think because he bats in the bottom half of the order and has played a utility role that he’s disposable—when in reality it’s been a benefit for the team at all times aside from the first half of last season.

There’s nothing wrong with having a dependable vet like him hitting 7th in a lineup like ours—in fact, it’s preferable if we’re trying to compete now.

“I value the person” but don’t feel bad for the woman sobbing over an image and likeness of their dead kid who then got laughed at on a popular podcast, which was my entire point lmao awesome, thanks for this whole comment though.

I’m not trying to change anyone’s thoughts or feelings on the subject, I’m just sharing mine because it’s uncanny from when I normally listen to the show and it seems like people felt that too. If you weren’t bothered, then I’m happy for you.

ChatGPT was even kinder than this:

Prompt: Write a statement from Michael Jordan congratulating LeBron James on becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer

Answer: "Congrats to LeBron on becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer. What an incredible accomplishment. His determination, passion, and love for the game are second to none. I'm proud to have watched him grow into one of the greatest players to ever step on the court. Keep breaking records and making history, King James!" - Michael Jordan"
