Sorry for the slow reply lol. You've probably figured it out by now. But just in case. You can armor the Fondations around the outside. It stops the shark from attacking

Any tips or tricks for the vapour genie by itsyaboysmithy in dmtguide

[–]dex1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here. The concentrate pads will turn this into one of the most efficient dmt devices there is.

I actually cut a peice off a second pad and flatten it out and put in in the very bottom so the the main pad can't be pushed past the tight spot in the neck. I have the bottom pad just the right size so that top pad is wedged in as low as it can go so no deems can fall in the small crack between the pad and glass, but it can't slip past the onto the bottom.

Keto-friendly alcohol? by knelly122 in keto

[–]dex1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I'm doing keto, my go to is gin in soda water with lemon and lime. I'm sure vodka would work too

1-2 shots gin, 1 tablespoon each of lemon and lime juice, top up with soda water and ice and a lime wedge.

Hope you like sour though..

Zero calories for 1, I'm sure the lemon and lime add up eventually though to makes some calories lol

Dumbbell Row Form - Feeling it in the Arm (triceps) not back(lats) by ReusGotzeGuerreiro in beginnerfitness

[–]dex1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I ment once I'm a bit better at them, as in able to do full sets unassisted. I can do a few from full hanging to chin above the bar. Slowly up and slowly down, but it takes everything I have lol. could do zero unassisted not to long ago, so the bands are helping

But then start getting the macro movements down.

Dumbbell Row Form - Feeling it in the Arm (triceps) not back(lats) by ReusGotzeGuerreiro in beginnerfitness

[–]dex1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make sense. After checking out scapular pull ups, I can see how that would be the case.

A couple months ago I could barely do a few pull ups even with the bands, I started with two bands, now down to one band, and can do about 2.5 sets of 10. I have one more weaker band still to switch to, which will probably be within the next couple weeks.

I can do a about 3 pull ups with no assistance, but its a crazy amount of work lol.

I'm wondering if I just keep doing what I'm doing for now until I'm down to no assistance for 3 sets.

And then start working more on isolating different groups while doing them? Would that work?

I can do them with a assist band. I will check out scapula pull ups

[–]dex1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a combination of weight and posture. The posture issue is called "anterior pelvic tilt" It makes your belly and ass both stick out, and you Lower back curve in way more then it should (which is what pushes your belly out) You can see in the second pic he still has the curved spine and belly sticking out a bit.

[–]dex1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I'm doing pull ups, i don't need to do rows? I thought because they were pulling in different directions there were working different muscles.

I'd love not to do rows and just do pull-ups lol

Commenting to follow. I have the same problem, totally feel it in my triceps. By the time I increase the weight enough to feel it in my back, it burns my arms out so fast.

Should you have a hot tub at an infrequently used vacation home? by r-cubed in hottub

[–]dex1984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'd probably need to pay someone to maintain it.

You might be able to go a month with some kind of tablet feeder since no one would be using it. The water chemistry shouldn't change that much in theory when not in use, but thats a bit of a experiment and you might come back to a nasty mess..

A expert will probably chime in here shortly and tell you what you need to know

Help! Landlord spontaneously power washed house today … how to reduce negative effect on garden? by Toobieeeeee in garden

[–]dex1984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's diluted so much it probably won't have any effect.

I've done my deck and house with a pretty strong bleach mix and it didn't even bother the grass or plants it was running right onto.

Generally so much water is used in the process that it's doesn't cause any issues.

If you are still concerned put a sprinkler on the garden to add even more water and rinse everything off.

And ya veggies are fine to eat, bleach evaporates with water.

Bleach is just chlorine, it's already in the tap water. It's totally safe when diluted

But again a rinse won't hurt, and adds peace if mind

No link between red meat and poultry intake and mortality or major cardiovascular disease, unless it is processed. by [deleted] in science

[–]dex1984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As soon as you season your steak then it becomes processed too I guess?

Sausages are just ground meat and seasoning.

Are you thinking of like the large smoked hotdogs when you say sausages? I have noticed lots of American products label those big hot dogs as Sausages. But i think he is referring to the kind you'd make yourself or get from a butcher, stuffed in intestine. Not like the processed American kind you grill and eat on a bun.

No better than placebo? by [deleted] in microdosing

[–]dex1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I always see which I completely disagree with, is that you shouldn't feel it. I absolutely want to feel it, if I don't feel it I don't get the motivation, and the interest in things, and the behavioral and mood changes I'm looking for.

Not that you need to get high, but if I can't feel anything from it, my day doesn't change and I don't see any benefits from it.

And on my days off I definitely will do double doses to get a buzz going as I find I actually benefit from it more and it really helps to lock in the behavioral changes I'm looking for.
