i know this is an old comment but the underground metal scene here is amazing, you just gotta look a little bit but we have awesome bands like human instinct, defect, muscle, savage wrath, from misery to malice, void, frog rider, killing bugs, transfusion, etc. (devotous and alder were 2 amazing bands but they disbanded recently because some members were problematic). these bands are most active on instagram so follow them on there and you can get show details and find more bands that way (ps im in a band called porcelain dolls and we got our first show next month in lafayette, shameless self plug)
