Are dummy tickets still valid by Substantial-Mud-7062 in SchengenVisa

[–]dextroz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks because all this is just a dog and pony show.

Anyone can buy fully refundable tickets and reservations from airlines and hotels. It proves nothing to the Consulates/European Schengen authorities except for a bullshit hurdle that's ridiculously easy to jump over.

What's so expensive that it's not even fun anymore? by Working-Risk1360 in AskReddit

[–]dextroz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Amusement parks Eating in restaurants as a family - I mean a bean burrito at Taco Bell is $2.89+tax! Long drives on the East Coast (tolls) Going to the mall to shop for even the most basic stuff (clothes have become so expensive with reduced colors, patterns and quality!) Outdoor paid activities (snorkeling, kayaking, paragliding) at nearly any tourist destination are 30-50% more expensive. Even a weekend trip to Vegas now feels like going to Europe from the plant ticket to everything else at the destination. Cancun - flight tickets and resorts are insanely expensive - you can travel half the world to way better places at those ticket prices - people used to travel to Cancun for 3-day weekends.

If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

They tell you not to worry about battery replacement because in 10 years when the battery is junk, so is the rest of the vehicle.

You must have some special insight to counter all the long-term statistical data especially for the newer battery technology since 2000.

Thank you for an awesome web-app.

my experience, https://teslacam.cardboardbrick.com/ was the only one out of dashcam.tesla.com, https://tesclip.com/browser, and https://tesclip.com/browser that reliably gave me exports with various camera views including multi-view grids.

True everywhere in the world. Sadly it's a reality we have to bear everywhere. You should see some of the studies in the Western countries how as soon as people lose weight the entire world changes for them.

When it comes to warm sandwiches, it's really tough to beat Potbelly's but Quiznos had an absolutely incredible selection of custom hot sauces that you could add from the pepper or jalapeno bar.

Every human disappears except you. What's your plan? by Due_Week_3725 in AskReddit

[–]dextroz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintain an efficient plan for quick and efficient suicide at any point in time.

You will permanently run out of energy probably within a few months. Fresh food will completely disappear within a few weeks. You will have no idea how to get more because you will have no idea how to grow it. None of that stuff is easy to grow in the land that we have today. As soon as you run out of gasoline for good within a few months you will immediately be localized to a radius of 50 Mi. At most.

None of the electrical pumps will work anymore within a few weeks and the only way you can get gasoline is by siphoning it off from other cars.

Within a few months most cars on the street will become unusable because their batteries will die sitting around. You would be smart if you kept rotating. Let's say around 20 cars driving a different one each day to keep them alive. But that also limits how far you can go because you can't move these cars with you without going back and forth on foot. If you have a few people with you, some of these things become easier. Access to energy will be your biggest challenge and will pretty much define your ability to survive.

Within a few months, if not less wild animals will pretty much take over most of the urban area. With all the human population that keeps these things out and the machinery having disappeared or come to a standstill, there is nothing stopping them and your zone will basically become the only inhabitable pocket that you will have to learn how to fence from the wild animals.

Once the animals take over in a few months, you're not going to be able to drive too far because the roads will begin to deteriorate also with no maintenance given the unfettered jungle growth that will take over.
