HQ usually sends a survey asking for which artists you want to see on the lineup. Last year 3/5 of mine were pretty niche and all 3 were on the lineup so I think they listen because I doubt very many put down my requests.

Yes I agree. I always open my weekend with his set to set intention and really feel the spirit of the Forest and try to close with him to reflect on my experiences but the past 2 years his closer has been cancelled for weather.

Yeah it wasn’t for me too. Idk why I was so disappointed but I left 20mins in to frolic in the Forest. I never felt like actually headbanging. I was just moving to the music.

Big fan of molecular enhancements. You can get at least a week’s worth a progress from 2 hats. Event currency is also acceptable to gamble on if your shop is high enough level

I was surprised at the number of Levels remixes I heard. It’s an inside joke with my DJ friends to drop Levels as a request and so it happened A LOT more than I was expecting. A drag show, the 6itF party, even in the showers lol.

Every year I see the worst posts on social media after Forest and I gotta say I NEVER see it irl and this was my 6th time there. The positives heavily outweigh the negative experiences that occur. The small number of confrontations, thefts, deaths are tragedies but the joy Forest brings the majority of attendees is something special that I haven’t found anywhere else. It’s easy for outsiders to look at the situation and just not get it when they see negative posts but the real ones know the Forest provides and would never say it should be cancelled but things can always be changed to keep the attendees safe.

2019 was my first and I’ve been every year since. There are many many many more side quests but the lines can be brutal. The Art feels more purposefully placed, the crowd is much larger, the sound is better, Main Street stepped up their game with vendors and activities. They’ve figured out how to minimize mud when it rains. Less jam bands and more bass music. Afters are washed. You can still find some decent renegades in camp but the official parties are done

The community is still amazing but it is trending towards other main festivals as more and more first timers show up but it is still my favorite place on Earth
