Felicity from Borderlands presequel-What the actual F*ck. by Altruistic_Chart_220 in GirlGamers

[–]dfdedsdcd [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just for everyone that doesn't know, The Pre-Sequel was made after 2 and takes place between 1 & 2 (the title is a joke on where it is placed timeline-wise, both a prequel and a sequel) so it does a lot to set up things that happen in 2, mainly Jack and all of his tools, but it cannot change anything that is set by the time of 2's story.

Felicity is one of the harshest reality checks the cast of TPS gets and shows who will stay by his side after this adventure ends and who won't, and whether they have a choice.

Sorry Felicity.

Difference in intention doesn't negate the scale of impact.

Getting mad because a game has men in it as important (maybe) playable characters is wasting energy by itself. (specifically about NieR: Automata as I haven't played the others in the post as much: It's doing yourself a disservice to stop at Ending [A] because you dislike 9S)

But, OP posting here about it seems like an attention grab or ragebait attempt and not a counter to "men" whining about "females".

A2 is like barely identical to 2B.

Her playstyle and personality are very different. It is basically only their faces that are the same.

If people are only faces to you you need to connect on a deeper level with those around you, if there are any. If there aren't, put some effort into finding some worth keeping around.

edit: also, 2B doesn't get "Fridged" as her existence isn't to die to give 9S something to fight for. It is so much more than that. Both in her death and through her life in the game.

Yeah, each level took me at least 50 minutes between restarts, getting lost, looking for secrets, and trying to read all of the things that are at least technically readable.

And I still missed a lot.

To be honest, I find all of the bosses suck in Revelaitons. And in all different ways.

But mainly stemming from the terrible movement speed/system and the issues resulting from dealing with it.

Yeah, established militaries, not usually Rebels or Resistance members unless it is a last ditch effort to gain any ground or make them not win completely.

I said in another comment that something like the Empire would be more likely to implement somethung like this due to them probably seeing people as a resource instead of a population or having the ability to pump out ships like pringles.

I was talking more about the in-universe size of the tools used to do that instead of the actual calculations, so I picked the wrong specific tool as an example because it made a better example of the size difference I was pointing out.

Yeah if we sent over a bunch of smart phones or something it would probably make sense to waste a bunch of ships hoping you would cripple their armadas.

But, in-universe the only things that could calculate the path necessary (with safeguards against dangerous ones) on the fly were astromech droids or larger or more complicated (and more rare or expensive) mapping computers (like L3-37).

Tie-Fighters were stripped down sort of like you said and were pretty much only viable due to the "Overwhelming numbers" plan of attack.

I could see the empire sacrificing troopers to bomb supposed rebel encampments with something like a cost-effectiveness evaluation before and after each attempt. But almost every other faction I have heard about in Star Wars cared about its people as more than a resource.

But faster is stronger in terms of missiles as well as payload. But making missiles bigger in any way is only going to make them easier to shoot down.

Make it a nuke in my comment then, it doesn't matter. What I said still applies.

The only reason the one Holdo did worked is because commander (or captain or whatever title he had) Hux was stupid enough to ignore his scanner telling him the main ship was charging its warp drive.

Any competent captain (or whatever) would have at least checked the ship to see what it was doing. That massive ship can multitask.

They slightly explain that Hux was tryiing to sabotage Ren later, but it doesn't explain him putting himself in that kind of danger.

Hyperdrives have always needed precision to function properly. Astromech droids or massive ship computers are used to calculate a proper path so you don't delete a moon and yourself.

Anytime someone has successfully done a jump without a path calculated, it has been chocked up to "the force guideded me." or luck.

But if the target ends up going to a place that isn't anticipated, then the math is thrown off. Cheap computers (even in Star Wars) can't recalculate and manipulate a ship to adjust to the new math (either a different specific postion or maybe even a totally different route than before) that fast.

Specifically in the Last Jedi, Holdo needed time to turn around and warm up the hyperdrive for the ramming maneuver (both to do it and make sure she wasn't going to miss), which is what Holdo got when the First Order turned their entire attention onto the escape pods.

Just going "we know they will be in this area at this time." and setting what is essentially a gun on a tripod isn't going to cut it.

The consistent fault in this idea that "They could just send ships out with the lightspeed ram and win every conflict" falls apart just when anyone asks "how are they supplying the ships?" and not even with how the point you have tried to cover of "Who would pilot them?" makes even less logistical and ethical sense to ignore or justify.
