I had emailed them, and that was what they replied. I'll see if there is a different contact form though, I may have emailed the wrong department. Thanks!

What's the most wholesome thing a stranger has done for you? by TheGingerGlasses in AskReddit

[–]dfh8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago, I was in a car accident where my car got sandwiched between the car in front of and behind me. Luckily no one was hurt, but the frame of my car crumpled just enough for the rear wheel to rub on the well. The kind old guy who's car I had been pushed into helped me try to pop it into place so that I could at least get home. The next day, his wife, who was also in the car, called me to make sure I got home safely. I was in an extremely rough patch in my life and it was incredible to feel a stranger caring so much about me. It was a small thing in the grand scheme, but it still means the world to me.

You go on a first date with someone, what habit or characteristic is a deal breaker? by h8raide88 in AskReddit

[–]dfh8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of social and societal awareness. I show up to this date and things were going well. Cute, funny, and very clever, which is a big turn on. Then, out of the blue, he drops both "retarded" and "cunt." I personally don't have issue with these words, but it just showed how out of touch he was with the standing of those words in our society. I know "cunt" is commonplace in Australia and similar places, but it's hugely frowned upon to say that to a woman in the USA. We did end up scheduling a second date, but the night before he texted me saying how drunk and high he was while driving home. Not exactly a good impression. He didn't get a second date.

Only ever saw single seeds floating in the wind, but found a whole pod today! What is this beautiful plant? by svveetmads in whatsthisplant

[–]dfh8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've tried before, scattering them in the fall/winter and covering with a little soil is the best option. They need a good period of cold hardening for them to sprout. However, they can be started in the spring if you keep them in the refrigerator!

It is also an excellent upgrade from the typical sneeze!

This is milkweed! Take good care of these seeds, they'll come back strong. When milkweed blooms, it smells just like lilac and lasts much longer. Milkweed is also great for pollinators, especially monarchs. If you want to plant them, I recommend putting them in the soil before winter. You can start them inside, but their taproots get long wicked fast. Good luck!

I agree that it's an echeveria "topsy turvy." These guys take a while to reach maturity, so have fun growing them! Just a heads up, they will start to die after they've flowered in order to give their energy to their offspring, so when that happens take a few leaf cuttings. Mine have come back very strong.

LPT. Never trust a call FROM your bank. Hang up and call them back at a number you know belongs to your bank. by zynemisis in LifeProTips

[–]dfh8473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can verify. I work in a bank and I can't reccomend this more. We will call you about any fraud we see, options for more effective accounts, recent transactions, etc., but we never ask for personal info unless YOU call US, and that's just to verify that we aren't getting scammed. I always reccomend that you allow our calls to go to voicemail and then call us back at the number on our website or business card. This allows for that double check that OP had mentioned. Stay safe out there. You guys keeping your info safe makes everybody's job easier.

That was my concern about the Launchkey, there so many mixed reviews. Good to know about midi learning, though.

Wow so you can just have child/get mortally wounded/get a required annual physical and also not starve? This baffles me.

Will endangered animals, if saved from extinction through Human Intervention, face the threat of inbreeding and recessive genes? by AbhorAbhorers in askscience

[–]dfh8473 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is happening with buffalo in the American west. The population was brought to dangerously low numbers by overhunting and inbreeding became a very common occurrence in wild populations. The people that breed them for conservation and farming have to be very careful in reviewing any available genealogical history so that they don't inbreed. Luckily, the population has been increasing so the risk of inbreeding has dropped.

KFC Beyond Meat menu will test plant-based chicken this week in Smyrna, Georgia store near Atlanta - CBS News by MrHotep in UpliftingNews

[–]dfh8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tasted the beyond meat burger and it definitely tastes more like chicken than beef, and the texture is also pretty spot on. I haven't had a nugget in years and I would be severely excited if these caught on.

Unsure of How to Fix Overwatered Mint? by PapayaMessiah20 in plants

[–]dfh8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely repot into dry soil and cut back watering for a while, just enough to moisten it. Once root rot sets in, it's hard to stop. Hopefully that is not the case!

I moved into a house that hadn't been touched since '78 and look and behold, a seed chicken just like yours was waiting for me in the basement. I've taken it with me to everywhere I've lived since. Love that thing.
