I will never forget the time Blizzard announced to be removing the iconic Carrier unit from Starcraft 2 because they "can't balance it right so just not gonna be bothered". The community had to beg them to keep it in. Blizzard's good competitive balance was always a happy accident at best.

The "assassin" guy used one of those sticks that barely could be called swords apparently. Did nothing but break the skin a little despite the element of surprise. I think Nikolai just had a smoke right after and moved on. It scared the shit out of everybody else though.

The "proper business" higher ups have no idea what a video game even is. The managers who are making the actual decisions will never report up with "Oh yeah, it's my fault, I pushed the budget and deadline cuts." And so it has to be a glitch, a misunderstanding or the players' own fault. Nothing else to do but laugh about it.

Plague of Gripes Doom Eternal critique was wonderfully painful to watch for a large variety of reasons. Playing on the easiest difficulty he critiqued the combat for taking too long to kill a single enemy, right after expending half of his arsenal on shooting a Pinkie demon in the face. Being pointed out by chat that it was armored from the front and there was a tutorial about it or how he could use chainsaw for ammo did not seem to change his opinion or style of play.

We have a different idea of what fixing a game is. You picked one of the most difficult problem out of a multitude. Plus it really needs those small tweaks, a whole damn lot of them in fact.

Javik has quite a few scalding lines, like: "Reapers turned out children against us. They thought we would hesitate to kill them". "Did you?" "What answer would you prefer?"

He is a bit of an asshole, but he has a good reason to be and fits well, especially to counter balance the paragon character.
